After the actors workshop when all of the actors got together to learn more about their characters the actor who plays Bright wrote about him. Doctor Bright is a character who grew up never really learning about emotional love so he only knows how to express sense love, in the moment. That is why he is such a player. He is kind and caring to everyone equally but doesn't form connections.

That is true. Even though she is only around when it suits her Pleng and Knock are still the couple and Korn is still the best friend.
I feel though that Korn really has tried to be the friend as much as he can, of course he can't deny his own feelings.
Inevitably the one really being unfair to both people is Knock because he is loving Korn but feeling sympathy for Pleng.
It is obvious that Pleng has been away from Knock enough in the past that he hasn't taken their relationship seriously or else why would he and Korn have invited those two girls to hang out with them in the first episode.
