Just finished this recently in two sittings, technically 3.
Got recommended this series through Tiktok and then tried it for the first episode, and then dropped after finishing the first episode, because I could feel from the first episode what kind of story will unfold within the remaining episodes, lots of angst and tears and drama, and I don't enjoy that very much.
But again Tiktok showed scenes of the series, which made me want to give the drama a second shot, just for the good scenes. I stayed for the leads, skipped or fast-forwarded the drug scenes (making sure I still know some key plots to continue) or the scenes with the son of the fashion store.
And I was glad to finish it. I seriously hoped to see more from the ending after all the pain it took to get there (me and the leads) (urgh!!!) I'm even thinking of reading the original novel in case there's more I can visualize of how the story unfolded between the leads. But ChatKlao and Kwanruethai, you're the best! I enjoyed watching the super GREEN Flag of a male lead, unwavering and determined despite all the teasing and odds. And Kwanruethai, I'm just happy you're happy, (keeps on crying almost every episode). But still such a headstrong, independent lead, but very sweet to all the people she cares for.
The one important post credit scene, showing the very important scene...... just makes me so satisfied. Now i…
Yeah, seriously now I can die in peace indeed, I came in expecting it to add-on to the drama's plot until I realized it pretty much a standalone sequel/spin-off, though they are not quite the same characters in the drama but I like how I can still nostalgically get reminded of their characters in the drama when I see how both are trying to save the other yet again. Especially that last part where it was revealed to both what the other is doing. To the point, I felt happy for the new ZWS and LBX, but at the end, I was like "So, there's really no touching on the drama's ending???" until that scene that though short was enough for me
I seem to remember reading that there was a parallel time loop going on other than Xiao He Yun and Li Shi Qing's time loop, so I went into this thinking there were two time loops, up till the very end, and then I was like eh?? I thought there were two time loops.
Does anyone know what's going on? Is there a spin-off? Or was it a mistake? The synopsis back then seems a bit too legit to be mistake....
I barely just read till finish the webtoon in Jan, but I don't know why the webtoon was a blur for me, at this point, like trying to recover the sequence of plot points was impossible for me. Anyways, so far, other than Kang Tae Mu, the vibes of the other characters doesn't much differ from the webtoon. Kang Tae Mu here really gives off a much different feeling, I don't know how to describe it, comparing them side by side in my mind as I watch the drama, going through the plots, that does throw me off guard. The circumstances and dialogues do differ but the rearrangement of events does kinda work I guess.
Currently at Ep 17:Gotta say at first I was highly uncomfortable with all the lying, Lookpat and co did to Nakinthon,…
But, after being uncomfortable with the lying, now I'm being disgusted (was that too heavy a word?) with Nakinthon's behaviour towards Lookpat, if he just hated her and all, I would be a bit fine, but no, he also actually still like her through the various scenes that reveal his inner heart. But like dude, that made it even worse, you clearly like her and yet you subject her to all those pretty inhuman treatments and think she's gonna look at you alone, and get angered that she has an offending nickname for you(which you so deserve by the way) and treats other guys better than you..... I'm like I get it, you're upset, disappointed that she lied till the end, I mean I saw good in you when you actually gave her the chance to redeem herself but you broke it apart with every task, ordeal, request you made to her and every insulting word in public you addressed to her.
I swear I'm gonna throw tables if they concluded things with like, "I actually love you, I'm sorry" and suddenly flowery musical background, staring and done. No, not enough, he has to go through an episode or two reflecting and being rejected by Lookpat and Lookpat shoving off every attempt he tries to get close to her. He needs to pretty much go through the same pain Lookpat had, I mean all they did to him was lying about his identity and they actually treated him pretty well other than the lying. I don't see why those treatments to Lookpat are fair compared to what he undergone under their care.
Okay done rant, can't wait to see the end, I hope each character get the conclusion they deserve!!!!
Gotta say at first I was highly uncomfortable with all the lying, Lookpat and co did to Nakinthon, even the romance parts (which I enjoyed) failed to completely wash over the sense of sympathy I had for Nakinthon who treated them sincerely and regarded them especially Lookpat as his world. And I was highly excited for the big reveal because I'm not sure how it will play out, whether Nakinthon forgets his time in the village and remembers himself alone, or he remembers both himself and his time in the village, or like he slowly remembers everything back. Anyways, it ended up in the course that I kinda desired since that way there's less drama I guess.
hi, can you please enlighten me... i did not watch the series and just finished this movie. There's some points…
Let's see I am no expert but I will try to enlighten you as much as I know.
At first, I thought Sroi was the reincarnation of Nakee just as Kumkaew was in the series but no, she wasn't and it looks like she was just a proud and dedicated believer of Jao Mae Nakee since young. I think that's as much as their connection goes but more explanation later on she turning into Naga.
Second, the movie was too short seriously and many things were left unanswered and happened behind the scenes. I believe when the inspector checked Lumjiak's house, he transformed into a garuda and therefore should know that he can be a Garuda at the final fight scene.
3rd, This question is a bit confusing since the question is a bit general. In the series, since time immemorial (may be exaggerating here on the timing), the Garuda race and the Naga Race have been mortal enemies. It is simple if you look at things biologically, The eagle's (Garuda) staple food is things like snake (Naga) so you can get the reason they fight. It was never really mentioned about the reason they are mortal enemies (or I don't quite remember) but Nagas are afraid of Garudas. The Garuda itself never really appeared in the series except for retelling of history. So, yeah and therefore it makes it interesting that a Garuda fell in love with a Naga when they were supposed to be enemies.
4th, to be honest I am not sure, maybe shapeshifting humans with mystical powers, who knows, it was never specifically mentioned she or he is a what not. What I do know and believe is that, the Inspector and Sroi are reincarnations of the Garuda and Naga that fell in love, which led to them having access to those powers of their previous selves. Which is why Sroi was able to turn into a Naga because she was a Naga in her previous life. which is also why I believe she not to be Nakee's reincarnation because in the series, Kumkaew became Nakee and vice versa, it's like they merged into one person while here, nothing of that sort happened. I was shocked Sroi can turn into a Naga herself but it all made sense when they let out that there was another couple from ancient times. (Also, the series' time setting was not that old so it kinda make no sense for a reincarnation to be so close since the cliche is a 500-1000 years in between).
PS. I have a feeling I am contradicting myself at a few points there but what can I do, I'm not the writer and there are many points which were never elaborated and answered in the story
Do watch the series though because it was awesome, THOUGH you could skip some parts because it gets a little draggy and frustrating at some points because it gets hard to watch Kumkaew/Nakee facing the trouble of her love fulfillment. But, overall good to watch.
Just finished watching the movie after accidentally coming across the subbed version (though it's not completely…
Lumjiak coming back as Phraya Naga was not in my expectations as well but it made sense since Lumjiak soul have been entertwined with Nakee since when Nakee first rampaged. I really thought that Nadech and Yaya were acting as the reincarnation of Kumkaew and Thosapol but turns out they are not, they are just the reincarnation of something else which I believe is the reincarnation of the Garuda and Phraya Naga who fell in love. Since Sroi ended up transforming into Phraya Naga, while Pongprap, I'm not sure but highly likely transformed into Garuda. There were two sentences in the story which supports my theory of two different reincarnation. " Grandma, can you tell me the story of the Phraya Naga who fell in love with a human" and "Grandma, can you tell me the story of the Garuda who fell in love with a Phraya Naga"
I wonder whether Nakee really stopped the cycle of karma? Since Thosapol told her not to come out no matter what happens, and she came out (to me like an idiot, since things would just repeat again and she would just continue her sufferring) when Thosapol was eaten. Not only did she came out, she even fought Lumjiak. I don't quite understand how the cycle of karma ended. Is it because she sacrificed herself and died to protect people from Lumjiak.
And then, the appearance of Garuda....... it was only somehow mentioned during the series and the real entity itself never came out as solid role, and yet here in the movie, Garuda appeared.
The movie was damn short..... I wish it was longer....
Just finished watching the movie after accidentally coming across the subbed version (though it's not completely subbed word for word, it's passable since what the characters are talking is of a different dialect than normal Thai)
Gotta say I loved the movie, it gave Thosapol/General and Kumkaew/Nakee, the ending I yearned for after finishing the series long before this. And that made me a super happy viewer. Going through I had several expectations, one of which made me sad at its prospect but I am glad that the story proved its not true. Another expectation I had was that the story seemed like its gearing towards another Kumkaew's situation, but it played out differently and I loved it.
Though there were some discrepancies and missing plot points which made me kinda lost, suddenly while typing this, I noticed something from what I watch which made things make sense and was surprised at the depth of the characters played by Nadech and Yaya. Honestly, I'm impressed! They really planned for a fulfilling ending and resolution, tried to cover any holes.
"I pray for Jao Mae's love to be fulfilled" And they did do it in a satisfying way. The movie really kept me at the edge of my seats at trying to figure out the mystery and what's actually going on. Overall, it was a good movie!
I am excited for this remake. I really love the older version. Surprisingly it was really good. Like someone said,…
Yesss.... It's nice to see a nangek looking girl actually being the nang rai, and a strong nang rai looking character being the actual nang ek. It's like they switched personalities which gives quite a fresh air because as someone said somewhere in the drama, "Nang ek must be weak, helpless, pitiful" which I think should not be a stereotype.
I'm only on Ep 10. I kept going because I think the ML is cute. And so far, they aren't married yet. Though many…
I'm also on Ep 10, I don't why but the drama just kept making me click next episode and next again. One of the reasons is probably I'm excited to see them falling in love and can't wait for the getting married scene since it seems cute. So far so good, though they have so many u-turns here and there that I'm like get on with it
And at this stage, I felt very excited to see Pawee finally slowly have changes due to the Nit's effect on him.
Finally watched finish this drama, I thought I could marathon it to the end but I still had to wait for the subtitles.,,,huhuhu... but damn I love the ending!! Though it is pretty open-ended, it was still pretty good to watch.
I know things like this are hard to find/get for people who don't know Thai language so I won't expect to find an English Translation that easily
