We have Viki, Kocowa, Viu and Hulu. Managing a site is SUPER expensive and like a LOT since u gotta buy rights. And u cant buy rights that easly since u will be a newbie site and tell me who can trust a newbie?
Still bummer to see Dramafever go, i think it has some of the best K-Drama out there, but i think Viki has proven…
Quality over Quantity honey....their subs suck in every way. If u are not good at english or not fluent in korean u wont notice BUT their translations are often so off from the real conversations the ppl in drama are having....
It seems that the Viki team has proved so far the smartest - they do not pay their segmenters and translators…
I agree with Viki as I subbed for them. We got no payment and often had to work with sorry but people who suck at translating only to keep the viewing high %. The restrictions are terrible too and if u compare the quality of subs between Viki and DF u can SEE the difference right away.

The dubbing is not because of pollution but because of accent. Some chinese youtuber explained this. And I dont mean palaces I mean simply forests for example. Like....why do they need to make forests in a green studio when they have beautiful nature? Look at Jackie Chan movies. The palaces are not always real but some of them are. So i dont think chinese gov. is super strict about it. My opinion is that production refuses to pay for the sites.
Well, I disagree with amazing cinematograpy and that is the reason why i am so hesitant to watch wuxia or as i call them ''historical'' dramas! There is a huge difference between Korean/Japanese historical dramas and Chinese and I must say Chinese is the worst. WHY they do not shoot in real locations and instead use green screen or studios for EVERYTHING? It looks so fake that gosh, u gotta be Cameron to master the effects!
Pls guys, tell me one chinese historical drama where they shoot in real locations and is without super crazy mid-flight fights. I dare you to name few....I mean it 'cause I wanna watch something that is real unlike alllll dramas that are simply not.
