There is nothing wrong with remakes. Let's be real, not everyone is going to watch Asian dramas. Not everyone is going to watch American series either. Having remakes brings the same or similar plots to more than one audience. As far as I see it, if a remake happens to be bad then it is bad - it doesn't take away from the original at all. Honestly, if I really like a show I'm always happy when there's a remake of it.
