Looking at people's critiques below, look, I really do agree on a number of points. However, the drama is far from bad for my opinion. I like the idea of having 4 protagonists, but really the story that is gaining the most attention is Xia Yan. I feel like the other girls are having a lot less prominence in both their arcs and friendship. In fact, the premise is their friendship. We're on ep 20 and they support each other a little bit, but it's far from that brotherhood thing that came up in the first episode. The beginning of the Binbin protagonist left me wondering if he would be the kind of protagonist who is a wolf in sheep's clothing, and I was afraid the drama would romanticize things wrong. But in the end it was just wrong impressions of the drama itself. The character is very good. We see he is not a playboy. Cheng Yu is a good natured and what happened in the first few episodes was on purpose. Binbin is extremely gallant in this character. It's cute, kind, romantic and serious. As for Sun Yi, look, I don't know what happened, I follow her work and generally like her acting, but I heard that after she got married, something seems to have changed. That's pretty bad. Xia Yan is a good character. She's independent, determined and very professional, but at times, especially in dramatic scenes, I feel she's distant. About the main couple, looks really like them. Although Sun Yi and Binbin didn't show that super chemistry, they're a beautiful couple, I'm waiting for their scenes, it's a mature couple and without all that litany of playing games for the other. They are building a relationship based on companionship and trust. That's cool. I particularly hope they still will develop the relationship a lot.
Overall, it's a drama that's watchable. Is it a modern masterpiece? Definitely not. But here is a story being told, ups and downs...I'm enjoying it, but not loving it.
I know that the overwhelming majority of Dramaland may watch this drama because of Dylan Wang, but I, particularly, will follow because of the leading actress and hit some who may say that she is not suitable for a young lady because of her hateful character Xuan Nu in Ten Miles of Peach Blossons. Zhu Xudan is not marked with characters. Zhu Xudan is an excellent actress and truly deserves an epic drama role where she is the center of attention and has a happy ending. Too eager. I hope the couple has a lot of chemistry and that the drama is a success.
