Most of them don't act at all, but Dunk is one of the worst. He's done about five series and his acting hasn't improved at all. As you said yourself, he's lucky to have those fanatical BL fans from gmmtv who don't care about acting.

Normally, people don't like him. He directs kissing scenes as if he were a priest. In BL Fourever U, the promise was two couples in the first season, but he insisted on only putting Pond and Earth. Also, his BLs don't have a good rhythm. He directed several scenes in the revamp in a pathetic way. It's obvious that no one with a brain likes him.
