Oh my god, I remember watching a little bit of this when I was watching funny videos and it came up on my YouTube recommended for some dumb reason. As soon as I realised it was incest/brother-sister thing I closed the dang tab faster than the Flash. Like ew wth, I can’t even deal. Who thought this was a good idea?! Someone told me that I’d enjoy it if I tried again whilst suspending reality for a while. I tried and still the aspect made me uncomfortable. Imagine if me and MY brother — oh gosh EW NO WAY EW. Siblings should stay siblings lol; I thought that was like a universal thing? I think this is one of the only shows that I instantly hated.
Wow, I'm starting to notice a pattern where the shows I don't expect to be good, turns out to be really good and fun to watch! This was surprisingly really interesting and it captured my heart in a way I didn't think it would. I'm not into really ridiculous shows and over the top comedy stuff but it actually matched the characters and they were all loveable <3 PLUS I found myself laughing so much and even crying at other parts so it was an emotional rollercoaster sometimes. I loved the atmosphere and the fact that they include an average girl. It's nice to see a drama that doesn't have the typical gorgeous, girly girl that falls in love with a handsome dude.
This movie was actually alright. It had its funny moments (even the over the top comedy scenes surprisingly made me laugh/giggle) but I went without any expectations for this one because any movie that claims to be 'horror/comedy' usually only focuses on the comedy side. It's a hard combination and is difficult to properly execute. Plus, this story didn't have much of a plot. It seemed really short and pointless but it wasn't horrible. There was a really cute and goofy atmosphere to it that I liked. It wasn't scary at all but I don't hate the movie. Overall, I liked it/didn't mind it but I don't know if I'd watch it again.
It is miles ahead of many gender bender dramas you have seen in terms of performance. You should try to continue…
Their acting is good, I’ll give them that but it’s just the feel of the whole thing. I felt like it was a bit too draggy in some bits and I don’t have the patience for tv shows/dramas/serials in general so it has to be really good to keep my attention. I tried going back to it a few days ago but I just couldn’t. I found myself skipping scenes. Maybe in the future but thanks! XD
It was cute and hilarious hahaha. But at the same time, to me, it was more of the fact that the comedy scenes were so bad it was funny. The characters were all charming and sweet so there was that! And I loved Na ra's family though like, they were the best part of the show!
For some reason, I couldn't ever finish it. I don't know why but I remember watching it up to episode 4 and then never going back to it again. I guess I got a little bored tbh but since it's been recommended so much for its light-hearted style then I might try it again. I like the idea of the whole girl mistaken as a boy because my first ever K-drama was You're Beautiful and I loved it so hopefully this drama also deals with the idea nicely!
Well one good reason not to watch it then. I really don't like those body shaming movies and dramas. I saw 200…
I agree with what you've said tbh. It's actually so sad and to be frank, quite disgusting. Just because someone is bigger or chubbier than another girl doesn't make them any less of a person or any less of deserving love. I'm sick of watching the dramas that make a joke out of obese people cos it honestly saddens me. I have friends that are slightly big and it offends me on their behalf. I don't know if this is part of Korean culture or something but they really need to change their view about stuff like this. *sigh*
Honestly didn't like the movie. Some people might call this 'modern' but it's really not. It's just weird people. This movie took me about a couple of days to finish because I kept stopping it. I was initially really excited about this movie and the actors but I just couldn't handle the weirdness of it and the whole idea didn't sit well with me. Things got stranger as the movie went on too lmao. But I will admit that I was definitely a little relieved when finding out that they weren't related by blood after all but still! Also, I can't not praise the acting which was amazing (like the two leads - I could feel the intensity of their emotions) but even so, this is still a big no no for me!
I legit loved this drama so much and I watched the whole thing in the one day haha. The idea was fresh and so different - especially since I'm always a sucker for the second leads in every drama, so this allowed me to get with everyone LMAOOOOO. But it was amazing! I definitely would recommend this to everryooooonnnnnneeee!
Usually, I'm not the type to hate a movie so much but oh my gosh I hated this movie so much, I don't even have the words. I couldn't even get through the whole thing cos it was just boring. The characters were horrible, except for Ono (I felt so bad for the guy), the plot was weak and just...I honestly don't even want to talk about it. Plus, from the get-go, I started to feel so bad for Ono so I just gave up. It was so frustrating and I literally wanted to kick myself for even watching half of it and not dropping it earlier.
I think I'm the only one who disliked this show lol! But I was super hyped and excited for this one and it was a let down tbh. This show was so irritating to watch! I mean it did have its cutesy moments and it’s emotional moments where yes, I’ll admit, I cried, but it was so slooooooowwww. The acting was superb but the storyline was weird, the characters were annoying at times and the pacing was off to me. Not a show I’d rewatch.
It was interesting and cute at the start but right after the movie ended, I was super disappointed. This movie was a major let down. It actually had a lot of potential - I went into this feeling good about it and the concept, and I love how relatable the main female character was a couple of minutes into the beginning....but then things just went downhill. I don't know when, but it started to get insanely boring.
It was full of cliche's and I ended up skipping a lot of scenes in the movie because it felt like things were dragging on and too predictable. What saddened and angered me the most was the fact that she fell in love with a guy who slept with half of the girls at the school, uses women for sex and tried to change her in order to use HER for sex from the get-go....like what? In what world is that okay?! This may be me being old-fashioned or whatever but still, I would have sucker-punched him in the face and then never talked to the jerk again!
Ugh. This movie does somehow test your patience but eh...just something to watch when you have nothing better to do :(
This was....eh...? It was interesting but it was nothing too special. It's the type of show that won't leave a lasting impression on you and is just something to watch when you honestly have nothing better to do with your time.
This movie wasn't actually that bad! I found it insanely adorable even though it's a student-teacher relationship (which I find kinda weird >.>). The storyline is kinda dull and I feel like they could have done more by developing their relationship and stuff, but considering the time limit for the movie, it was still pretty good. I was rooting for the two the whole time because of their chemistry and how they complimented each other
They're both so obviously different, considering he's more wise and mature with experience and she's...well, none of those, so I loved how, despite that, they still found love. He wasn't an icky character either, as you'd expect with this type of teacher-student genre, I guess.
He respected her boundaries and knew that what was going on between them wasn't exactly the right thing to do (especially in the end when he tells her to wait for him instead of jumping into a relationship straightaway). The pacing of the movie was good too; there was no rushing or unnecessary scenes.
If you're not a fan of age gap focused or student-teacher relationships then this is most likely not for you but still give it a chance if you have time to spare! xD
I watched this show purely because someone else complained about how silly and bad the acting was so obviously, I had to check it out. And boy, was I in for a ride lmao! Yes the acting is overly exaggerated, the humour is waaaay over the top and the show is just plain crazy, but it's also very real as all the characters are flawed and none of them are perfect! I think every girl can relate to Nika in some ways but honestly, some scenes did have me cringing and feeling awkward. It was just way too much at times.
But, even though it was weird and awful in some parts, I also found myself laughing my head off in others. This show knew when to tone it down though, as there were some moments that made me want to cry. Overall, it was alright! The show definitely grew on me as I watched and it's worth checking out if you're open-minded and don't mind spending a few hours watching such a bizarre show that will have you questioning the sanity of everyone and yourself for watching. :D
And a plus to all of it: there are only 8 episodes of weirdness!
Am I the only one that had major second female lead syndrome with this one?? I found Adachi a lot more likeable…
Honestly, I had second female lead syndrome as well, so don't worry you're not the only one! This is the reason why I couldn't really finish the movie. It just left a bitter taste in my mouth because it felt like all the characters, aside from Adachi (who clearly did have her major flaws, I'll admit) were so self-centred and just awful. I couldn't relate to or like any of them. At the start, I didn't mind Hatori but then her actions throughout the movie started to get on my nerves...which ended up with me disliking her. I also don't understand what both of the male leads saw in Hatori in all honesty.
Rita was a butthead and I strongly disliked him because, as you mentioned, he literally cheated on Adachi and felt no remorse at all...he didn't even tell her until she heard about it from the rumours and technically got caught out. I felt so bad for Adachi, like, she was sweet at some points and she's actually a strong-willed person - if the guy I liked kissed another girl whilst I was gone, I'd have broken down and never come out of my room. And even though many would disagree and most likely call her a witch, I actually didn't mind her compared to everyone else because she had her reasons, in a way, for acting the way she did. When she lied to get him to stay by her side, I wasn't mad at her at all - in fact, I felt bad. I cried for her lmao.
Anyway, I was so pissed off by the fact that she was being painted as a horrible villain, as everyone was against her for no dang reason. There were other factors as to why I hated this movie (the characters were annoying and the storyline was eh) and no one was thinking about how Adachi would be feeling. I had hoped that Rita would remain with Adachi, to be honest, but sadly, no. My respect for the movie and the characters dropped even more lmao.
