I like how they did with the 5 episodes per week. This is pretty close to original drama series made in 1999. Only the original had 64 episodes and 1 hour each, while the new version have 120 and only 30 min each. But this version of the story feels much more richer, with added depth and details to the characters and story.
[MAJOR SPOILERS ALERT] It feels like they haven't went into deepest depth with Chaser's background, unlike with other 3. The only vital information we know, is that Chaser was an orphan who was fostered by three people in the market where he grew up. He learned leg work, conning and pickpocketing skills from them. But nothing about his origins and real family. Which I would of loved to know about.
Totally watching this. I want to see how Kim Ju Hyuk will portrait his character compared to God of War [Soldier].
P.S. Judging from the starting episode, this version stayed pretty true to original series; Hur Jun. Only I liked this version a bit more. Mostly because the quality feels fresh & relationships have more background & complexity.
Half way through the drama... took a peak at the ending... and then not sure if I want to continue to watch =(
That's equivalent to major spoiler, to yourself mostly. If I want to spoil myself as less as possible about show based on real historical events & people but still want to know what's going to happen, I research about them on the internet. That way, I'm still interested to "see" how it happens, while still knowing what possible could happen. Thus, I'm not spoiling the actual show, only the possible outcome. Of course, because I can guess what's going to happen, I'm emotionally prepared, so when it does it's not as shocking as it's supposed to be. So at the end it's still a spoiler, but I don't loose interest in watching the show, as if when I'll spoil myself with the ending episode.
P.S. I've actually finished it, and it was so very worth it for me. Hope you'll give it a second shot.
I'm kinda disappointed in the main character acting. He feels more grumpy and moody then original character from manga. Even if you exclude the original "comical" side to Watanuki, he felt more down to earth and understanding then here. But Anne is perfect for her character. No complains there.
I liked it alot. Took me a bit getting used to the modern style that they added. The ending was wasn't what I was expecting from this drama. But it was very memorable and touching.
Park Sang-Wook acting are explosive. After I saw him acting in God of War, I was super surprised by how he could act so differently with different character.

I hope you'll all enjoy it.
Liked it a bunch.
