So far so good. EP3 had everything a Pilot should've had, tbh. Maybe this one will make the haters shut up, 'cause I'm done reading all the nonsense about bad acting.

We had a bed scene, too. The comedy of this drama is really good so far.😂

IU and that crazy b-tch carrying the drama so far. I'm sure Do will have a love triangle soon, too.😂

The chemistry between IU and BWS is good, not as strong as with Bogum or Lee Joon Gi but they're good together.

Romance dramas that end with an epilogue usually turn out really well. I remember it was the same in Lovely Runner…
LOL you just jinxed this one with two poorly written dramas. 😂

Hey wait! Can someone please confirm if the King’s mother has a thing for the Uncle? 😳 Is she really jealous?…
She didn't look jealous at all. She was more like angry/afraid because if ML marries FL he can be the king, probably, and have kids, so she and her son will lose everything, including her dad.

I haven't seen EP3 yet, but am I the only one who thinks the OST is not strong so far? Other than BIBI the rest is kinda bland. Not a "Hotel del Luna" quality for sure.

That last paragraph, Idk why they did this, I don’t think baeksang needs to chase buzz that much, it’s quite…
I'm sure they're biased. They're judges, but people just like us with different opinions and also have to care about the views too. I mean the Baeksang rating.

It's just like Oscars. They need people to tune in. Barely any people watch it anymore, so the Oscars (and even CANNES Series) are using Kpop Idols and Baeksang nominating mainstream and successful Kdramas.

Tbh, I agree; they should make a separate category for the most popular dramas.

"Dear X" don't deserve any nomination. Kim You Jung was great, but that's all. The drama itself only lasted for 2 or 4 episodes at best. It was repetitive, and her acting was only impactful because she never played a psycho character. The first 2 episodes set the bar too high, and they not only didn't stick to that but fell off so hard I can't even describe it. Especially the finale. It was all over the place.

As for psycho characters, Go Hyun Jung should've been nominated for Queen Mantis and not Kim You Jung. Her character was much better written and played as well.

If anyone, Park Shinhye should've been nominated and Miss Hong as well but we all know Baeksang need a Popcorn drama every year, like "Lovely Runner" last year.

IF this happens I'm canceling the drama and you as well.🤣
I can be the 2ML because I'm not that handsome but I know the viewers will love me anyway.🤣

I have a theory. What if the Queen Mother actually liked the Grand Prince and wanted to marry him but her family…

What’s this about? Is someone criticizing IU?
Her character acts cringe sometimes deliberately to hide her true self, basically. It's like Manwol from HDL but more cringe, but not all the time, so it's really not that big a deal. Also, it has nothing to do with acting anyway. At least it's cringe on purpose, unlike so many romcoms that are just cringe. 😂

Disney has nothing to do with the directing or cinematography or any streaming platform, for that matter. Blame…
I have nothing better to do. You're the one who's talking about things you don't know anything about. I have worked in the entertainment industry for 20 years now as a sound engineer and film editor.

So, your argument is that you're so dumb, you generalized everyone in one category? And you want to talk about intelligence? Should I laugh or cry?

You literally started with: "is no one going to talk about how ridiculous this disney filter/filming style is?"

And now you're acting like nothing happened. This is a typical rage bait of a clueless Kdrama fan.

"I don't care why you watch something or who your favorite actor is, but don't talk about acting if you don't…
It's not gatekeeping; I just wanted to point out to everyone who wants to talk about acting how this works. I know 99% of people don't care and most of them won't even see my comment because there are like 500 new comments every day, but at least I said what I wanted.

Like I said, I fully understand if people don't like a character, especially if it has some really cringe side to it like IU's. But most of them didn't see anything from her to judge her acting. Disliking a character and hating on an actor are totally different. I wouldn't say I'm in love with her character, but I understand why they wrote it like that, and not many people can make me tolerate cringe, not to mention cutesy. IU is on the middle for me; there are others like Kim Sejeong, Park Boyoung, or Kim Jiwon but that's all basically it.

Hate is not opinion, and not ojective at all, because if something is objective, people would watch at least 1 more show or movie from any actor before they judge their skills.

It's like saying: I hate this singer, can't sing and only making the same boring music but I only heard 1 or 2 songs. XD

Title Perfect Crown Spoiler
go on the website: kisskh.co everything is free there and all the kdramas /c-drama are here
Watch it on Asiaflix or GoPlay.su (later when they upload it) instead. KissKH is a trash platform; they don't even have 720p quality or download it from Dramaday or MkvDrama.

Let's not compare Lovely Runner with Tangerines. They're not even in the same league. One is a masterpiece and…
What are you even talking about? Google is free; use it before you embarrass yourself.

IU's awards for acting: 5 back-to-back Baeksang nominations for 4 dramas and 1 movie. Plus, 1 nomination at the Cannes Film Festival as the first and only Kpop Idol ever.

1 Baeksang and 1 Blue Dragon win for the movie "Broker" and 1 Blue Dragon win for "Tangerines."

Why diss "Lovely Runner"? Because that show has nothing to do with acting, just like "Perfect Crown"; both are romcoms that are more about visuals and chemistry and romance, not acting.

See? You proved my point. You're talking about bad acting and inaccuracy when this is a FICTION, not a documentary! IU's "overacting" is literally intentional. I understand if you don't like it, but that's not how she acts normally. That's how her character hides her true self. She's intentionally cringe, unlike that girl in "Lovely Runner" who was just cringe. Not the actress, the character.

This is why I made my latest comment. People talking shit about acting as they know anything about it when all you care about is the cutesy romance and pretty boys.

You can see IU's acting in multiple shows and movies. Not only "My Mister" but "Hotel del Luna" and "Tangerines" as well. Do you think the most prestigious film award, CANNES, would nominate a Kpop Idol for her acting just because she's IU?

You should ask one simple question if you have a functional brain. Why do giants like Meryl Streep or Al Pacino also have trash movies if they're amazing actors? Because the director and the writer are doing a shit job.

Actors only following the script and the instruction of the director. Especially in Kdramas.

Don't know, tbh I just wanted to put this out as a general statement; it's not just about "Perfect Crown."

"I don't care why you watch something or who your favorite actor is, but don't talk about acting if you don't…
Opinions and criticizing (not to mention hating) someone for their acting are not the same thing unless you actually know something about acting.

I don't mind if people don't like a show or a movie or even a character because it was portrayed and written a certain way. I said this already. "Perfect Crown" has multiple cringe scenes, and not many people can deal with that; it doesn't matter if they did it on purpose. But people need to understand acting is more than what any of us like.

Calling someone a bad actor because you don't like a character is not an opinion, and most of the time it's not the actors' fault if people don't like their characters or how they portray a character.

Both of them, but I just wanted to put this out for everyone's sake because people love to talk about acting in general without knowing anything about it.

Just because his drama was popular has nothing to do with his acting. That was my point. Tangerines won best drama, not to mention IU won best actress as well. LR was nominated because it was popular; hence, it's not the same league and a good fit for comparison for acting.

"Lovely Runner" was one of the worst-written Kdrama of all time. I know fans never gonna accept this, because most romcom fans only care about the romance and not the story, so I don't really care. Most fans give it a free pass because of the cute romance. That was the only thing that was working fine in that show.

Like I said, if people want to defend the guy and talk about his acting they can mention better roles where he actually did something other than being a visual.

For Kdrama fans:

I'm never going to understand why people who don't know anything about filmmaking talk about acting, directing, cinematography, etc.

I don't care why you watch something or who your favorite actor is, but don't talk about acting if you don't know how it works. If you're interested, I can tell you how it works, because I actually work in this industry, so please pay attention.

Actors are basically puppets. Not many of them can or are allowed to improvise, let alone change a story. Acting, let's say, has 3 parts: the actors, the director, and the script itself.

Now, you can have Meryl Streep and Al Pacino in the cast, if the director or the writer is doing a bad job, they can't make the show any better. Byeon Woo Seok or even IU isn't an acting giant, there's a huge gap between them, that's for sure. IU is more experienced and versatile, but both are doing their best.

There's not much we can compare if you look at BWS's filmography, but I never thought for a second he was a good fit for romcoms. He's more of a typical villain type of guy. The cute romantic guy doesn't suit him. You can disagree, but IU has better chemistry with SML because he's more charismatic and has a better role too tbh.

As for IU, if you watched "My Mister", "Hotel del Luna" not to mention "Broker" or "Tangerines" you already know how she can act if she's working with a much better crew. This drama is basically "Hotel del Luna" beta with a less experienced crew.

As for the director and writer. The director made "Alchemy of Souls" and "Secretary Kim", I think that's enough to understand his capabilities as a director. He's not bad; he's not a top-tier director. He can make average but fun dramas. The writer is a rookie, she won a contest, and now she can make her first Kdrama. So far, she's doing a good job with the story, but because there are cringe scenes, many people won't like it. It was done intentionally like that, it's not about acting.

So, in short: You can dislike anything you want, but don't talk about acting when actors are only doing what they were told basically.

You can't really judge someone's acting skills based on a typical "brain-off" romcom drama. These dramas are not where actors can shine. These dramas are all about chemistry and visuals. Just like that poorly written "Lovely Runner" or "When The Phone Rings" was.

is no one going to talk about how ridiculous this disney filter/filming style is? prime is also ridiculously terrible,…
Disney has nothing to do with the directing or cinematography or any streaming platform, for that matter. Blame the Korean crew, the director, and the cinematographer if you don't like it. This is not even a Disney+ Kdrama it was made by MBC. It's literally in the credits.😂

As for the director, it was made by the same guy who made "Alchemy of Souls", you know, the drama you rated 8.5/10.

Never gonna understand why people talking about things they don't even understand.
