From what I understood, Waga was still married when he met Rika, then fell in love with her, which ruined his…
I respect your view too. I'm open for a debate and am open to see different views on this matter. I agree that Kanchi did it in a moment of weakness but I also feel like he should have communicated his doubts to Rika before it got this far. From what I recall, Sekiguchi was the one to break the news to Rika. Kanchi didn't tell her anything and only came clean when Rika questioned him. Rika knew something was wrong and even asked Kanchi why he was breaking up with her and asked him if it was because of Satomi. Then he finally admitted that he was breaking up with her because of Satomi. I just feel he could have communicated his feeling with her before it got to this point. He should have told her he didn't see the long distance relationship working out and ended things with her. Honestly, at this point I kind of understand why Rika didn't want to work things out with Kanchi. She knew he had feelings for her. Even if they were to get back together things would never be the same.
I like how realistic this drama was. Usually dramas are very predictable by coupling two people together and the viewers usually know that they'll end up together. However, in this one the two couples we were rooting for and hoping would end up together don't end up together e.g., Kanchi x Rika and Mikami x Satomi. It's realistic because how many times have we been with someone and met someone and think this is the one and then as time goes on you break up. "The one" doesn't really exist and just because you two were together at one point doesn't mean you'll end up together. Life is unpredictable. Their relationships were complicated.. very complicated actually. I'm sure a lot of them have regrets with the way some of their relationships ended but that's life. You make a choice and hope that it's the right one. Kanchi still chose Satomi in the end even though he could have ended up with Rika but I totally understand why Rika did what she did in the end. I wouldn't want to be with someone I don't love or be with someone who loves another. The ending is bittersweet and truly encompasses the nature of relationships of how they begin and end. I truly felt Rika's pain when she cried on the rooftop at Kanchi's feet. She didn't want to let him go but at the same time knew that she had to.
So, I was kind of confused about Rika and Waga's relationship. Did she date him when he was with someone else? Anyone see a pattern here? There was a lot of infidelity. Mikami cheating on Satomi with Naoko. Then, Kanchi cheats on Rika with Satomi. Their relationships were created through infidelity.
me too. it goes the same too when the nurse said that Jun lost his family in the accident that befell Chayoung…
I almost forgot about that. That was odd. Why mention that when it wasn't his parents that died in that accident. I thought maybe she mistook him for Lee Kang, but I don't know..
When I read the synopsis, I wasn't prepared to be crying this much. The storyline just has a way of tugging at your heart strings. I think I've cried almost every episode so far. Part of me is like, Lee Kang, get away from that toxic family. It's not worth your sanity! But another part's like stay so you can get your revenge for your mom! But I kind of want to see him happy and doing what he's always dreamed of: cooking. I hope this one has a happy ending.
Another note: anybody confused as to why the grandma came back for Lee Kang when he was little or what that whole conversation was about, when he was a little kid and she paid his mom a visit? I feel like there's more to the story that we haven't seen yet.
and i disspointed infact there was no kiss scene in this movie...why director why??..also why they cut scene when…
While they didn't show them kissing, for some reason, I reacted as if they HAD kissed. XDD I was blushing and everything. Lol. I just feel like those little small touches were so meaningful and because of that not seeing them kiss, for me, wasn't that big of a deal.
Love this drama so much. Honestly, one of my favorite kdramas. I always come back to it every 1-2 years and for some reason I'm always shocked at the events that transpire because I forget some of the events that happened but I like it this way because every watch feels like a new experience. I cried like no other during the drama. It seriously felt like someone stabbed me in the heart and decided to deliberately twist it just to see how I would react. The villain was so.. evil. Ha Ji Won and Lee Seung Gi's chemistry was on point. The second couple was so cute. I fell in love with all of the characters and the storyline was so unique and good. I'll be rewatching it again in about a year or two.
Hi. Do you remember roughly what episode the two leads end up falling for each other or so? Thanksssssss
For me, I feel like they both fell for each other at first sight but were just too stubborn to admit it. Rewatching it I noticed that Lee Seung Gi's character was always a little soft towards Ha Ji Won even though he acted like an immature jerk sometimes. For example, he stood up for her when the investigators were gonna open up her safe full of underwears. When they were running on the treadmill both of them said that they were interested in each other without meaning to. I think they fell for each other earlier than most of us think.
Very cute movie. I was shocked at how much their love story moved me. I think it had a lot to do with the chemistry between the leads and their great acting skills.
YES! Yes to the characters, yes to the storyline, yes to the actors... just yes. Lol. I watched this when it first came out and was so intrigued. Give it a shot. One of my favorite kdramas and it didn't even feel like one (?).
I didn't watched it yet,but when i see 2 male leads,i wish that there was also love triangle genres.Anybody also…
I actually wanted romance in here too, but when I watched it it was perfect as is! I was surprised I liked it so much because the romance genre is usually my type and this had very little to no romance. The storyline/cases that they covered was enough to keep me interested.
Also, is it supposed to be an open-ended ending? Because I can see how it can end both ways, but I mean she did see the red aurora and the hopeless romantic /optimist in me wants to believe this gave her good luck and she lives longer.
It has a typical storyline. If you're looking for a movie where the lead has a terminal illness and decides to keep the secret from her partner, leading to miscommunications, then I recommend this. Overall, it was good but don't expect a unique storyline.
I liked it. The cinematography was amazing. I especially liked the scene in his office where she talked about getting a 90% or higher on her exam and basically confessed her feelings to him. The way the office looked, the way the sun shined through the windows making everything look rustic and old was beautiful. This movie had realistic elements to it and the leads definitely had chemistry. Hirose Suzu portrayed her character wonderfully. This was my first time watching her and I think she nailed it. I haven't seen Ikuta Toma in forever since Hana Kimi so it was nostalgic seeing him here as a teacher. I loved how his character took responsibility and resolved everything. It was a really cute movie and that last scene, I felt their emotions and longing. Great acting!
