This site (https://drama-otaku.com/drama/) is much better; it has the latest news and new releases. They announce series and movies much earlier than mydramalist.
Episode 6 was so cute watching them fall in love is everything I’m really happy Kaji finally had the courage to confess his feelings. <3 And yeah, it seems like from Episode 7 onward, the story will go beyond the anime. I haven’t read the manga either, so I’m excited to see where the plot goes!
Also, after reading the novel, now that i can really tell what Lan Wangji is like, I can say confidently that Wang Yibo was the best for that role. LWJ is not expressive at all, his emotions can be seen only through his eyes and earlobes and LXC has mastered it. And later WWX could also tell, but ofc he has other many ways to get through his emotions. I remember when he laughed for the first time, everyone around him was immediately scared lol (except for WWX who knew that he was really really happy).
Only after getting married I think he became a little more expressive.

Xiao Xing Chen is so Xie Lian coded. Kindness wrapped in elegance.
Xie Lian is kinder in the donghua, IMHO. In the novel, he did have some pretty stark edges. Particularly around and after the Human Face Plague (yeesh, still not liking that part of the novel AT ALL.)
it was really difficult for me to get into the first watch, but after finishing it I couldn't stop thinking about it. Then I rewatched it, and it makes so much more sense, I finally fell in love with it
