I think there is no point now, because the way they wrote things seems like they are k-ent analyst and know everything about it. All the people here who are siding with his ex or I can say haters are taking poll on his apology, if they know k-ind this much then they should have known that celebrities there apologize for small things, their skin, their figure, dating someone, marrying someone, making a family or having a baby. Sorry, but I never said that a synopsis can make a drama popular it only helps us to decide whether we should start a drama or not. And personally I was anticipating Doom very much because of its synopsis and the cast as you said, but I couldn't get myself past 10 episode. I like seo in guk very much but even that factor couldn't help me finish it. So, about the ratings I think it's depends on what people like, I can't say just because I didn't like that show, it doesn't deserve those ratings. So, i do agree with your latter part, cast + synopsis can help us start a drama, but it isn't necessary that it can help it to be in top 10 shows for weeks. Nevertheless what you said in the previous comment was about his personal life issue and squid game and not the cast so I was just pointing out that.

Squid game got released almost after a month this drama got aired, and it's been in the top 10 shows worldwide for more than 12 weeks i.e. way before squid game got released. 3. People do see the genre and read the synopsis before watching the show instead of blindly starting it just because it is a korean show and especially if it's a totally different genre. Many other dramas also came along squid game... We can't say all of them picked up on spot because of squid game.
