My Qingyu disgust is due to an amalgamation of everything Qingyu did and didn't do but my final breaking point was seeing how little he cared for the girls rescued from the bank. And if it wasn't for Miss Ye willing to fight for them he would've let the rot there- justice be damned. And tbf Qingyi was the same too at first it's just UGH! Like if it wasn't for Ms Ye and Susu fighting for these girls neither guys would've bothered to step in and help them. And now with Qingyu investigating Susu you know that he's gonna come to the laziest conclusion possible, probably hurt Qingyi in the name of "avenging" him and my girl Susu will get wronged yet AGAIN.

I now HATE Qingyu he really struggles to care about anyone or anything with sincerity huh? No wonder his brother suffered so much. Honestly, he takes so much after his "dad" it's laughably concerning. I won't regret his death but Qingyi will and I'm so sorry for him for that.

Speaking of Qingyi , what the hellllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll?????????????? Bro what did you finally win? Why do you think she now owes you the rest of her lifetime even though when she did the same things for you, you just claimed to hate her and wished to tear her to shreds? Like we all know that you're a puppy in wolf's clothing when it comes to her but bro what the helly? Also, the entire time I was watching the bank escape scene I was just thinking "see , this is why she doesn't involve you in things". You get hurt (often through your own fault), you act irrationally, and you have nothing truly driving you so throwing your life away is an easy default for you. Also I hope you have serious empathy for our girl now, she got shot, fell off a train, in freezing cold weather, in the middle of nowhere and survived it with a good chunk of poise and from your injuries you were still weak and in the hospital MONTHS later.

Also the bts of the scene where Qingyi pulls out a gun on Susu like bro whyyyyyyyyyyy. That woman is willing to be shot and beaten for you and you pull out a gun on her and threaten her life? When she pulled out a gun on you it was to get you to leave to save your life but you meant yours as a THREAT. WHAT THE HELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

Honestly, I struggled to fall asleep last night after finding out. Like what the helllllyyyyyyyy?????????????😭😭😭

Well at least now he can no longer complain that she never tells him anything and wouldn't let him help. But idk I want them to be endgame but at the same time I she deserves better or at least peace. Like we KNOW how bad Qingyi's had it (at least to a degree) but with Ren Susu I just feel like he just can't bring himself to think she could have had it anywhere as bad too. And worse it's not like she isn't protecting him or showing that she cares for him it's just that she doesn't want him to get hurt because of her again... dude seriously needs to untangle the strings of who did what to him and seek revenge accordingly (and not just susu as a placeholder/excuse) . Like brooo she took a bullet trying to save you (failed but still), let him win the last parachute, got hit with a vase because of him, stood up to his abusive adoptive "dad" for him, slapped his crappy ex-fiance for him and MORE. And brooo you can't say she's using you when you've made it a habit of following after or meddling with her knowing that she has a dangerous mission and then get upset you get hurt (which she told you would happen if you got involved). And him using his brother as a shield and excuse saying that he's worried she'd use him too brooo I honestly think that the ONLY use she has for Qingyu is to get in closer proximity to the Hous. Qingyi, qingyi, qingyi you deserved better but honestly you're kinda making things worse. Ren Susu I know he's cute and you love him but until he can pick a feeling for you and stick with it that's meat we don't eat... Okay rant over <3

Is anybody else pissed at the thought of the 6 year break. Like what do you meaaaaaaaaannn they went through everything , got back together (apparently enough so that Susu got pregnant), and yet they kill his brother and that's the catalyst for them being apart for ANOTHER 6 years. Like I don't kow how to feel man. He just doesn't look for her, for 6 YEARS? After everything? And apparently in some of the script leaks (albeit I can't say anything with 100% certainty) he's the reason why her family was killed. Don't get me wrong I feel so bad for Qingyi he's been through so many awful things but her suffering is not less than his. The difference is she doesn't take out her anger on him, she understands that most of the bad things between them were accidents or caused by Hous but he can't seem to put the boulder on his shoulder down. And yes losing his brother, his only family will be tragic but I just can't see how he'd give up on her too when she did more for him than his brother did in so many ways. I'm pisssssssed at the writers. And I hope that those "leaks" were just a red-herring like the talk of 2 endings where one isn't happy. But brooo, Qingyiiiiiii, whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Obvi because she wants to protect him and she says as much over and over again. For the sake of her mission everyone on her team has to be prepared to die for the cause and she wouldn't want to ask that of him. Not after everything he's been through, not after everything she's inadvertently put him through <3

Well they've already changed most of the original plot points perhaps they'll change this one too. Fingers-crossed.

Perhaps fear that she'd lose face if anyone were to find out how little the family has cared for Qingyi's well-being. Love? Puh-lease. She literally admitted before that she KNEW he was being abused at the Li's and still left him there... I imagine she's just as easily willing to bury her guilt as she would bury Qingyi. In many ways I'm glad that he has this entanglement with Ren Susu and I believe they ultimately do each other more good than harm (him going to jail was not her fault and she literally staged her own execution in an attempt to make sure he went free). Qingyi had way too many people fail him and i'm sure Ren Susu suffered the same too. But both always showed up to the bet of their ability for each other (even when 1 was afraid of being hurt again and the other had major bad guys to take down)- the only time they couldn't show up for each other is when was literally recovering from a gunshot wound and was preparing to take down the aforementioned bad guys and the other was in jail and for all we know there may be a flashback scene where she somehow finds out about him being in jail and tried to help him but ultimately failed or maybe she influenced his release and marrying the Hou girl to secure his freedom. I can totally see her doing that. In comparison his maternal spawn point is a sorry pathetic excuse of a woman who would have been just as happy to receive his corpse from the Li's as she would the new shipment of arms she's been angling for. And so help me I hope they don't try to redeem her in this show because it's not the job of victims to forgive abusers who may or may not change or make amends just to soothe their abuser's ego. Hmph!

I think you're giving her waaaaaaaaaaay too much credit. At most I can see that she needs a scapegoat for all her woes and who better than the family appointed "jinx" ? :(

Wowza the new intro is sooooo much better! And episode 10-11 are much better in terms of pacing and shot quality than the previous ones (I don't think there was a single feet shot in any of them! YAY!!!!) Overall the show is definitely listening to crowd feedback and the plot is only improving and intensifying ( plus the visuals are great). I hope people decide to still give this show a much deserved chance <3

I'm quite enjoying the drama. I was worried that the ml would be too toxic but after understanding a bit more about both their backgrounds I'm surprised the fl and ml are as well adjusted as they are. The pacing was moreso refreshing for me, after all, within 3 eps I got the entire backstory fleshed out and that leaves them with 30 more eps to do fun things with the plot. The ai intro isn't ideal, and the scene of her flying rather than falling off the train was a bit odd but there is a lot to redeem the show. The story is both complex and simple, the costumes are lovely, and the main leads actually can't help but show they care for each other despite the grievances they've endured. If I had to say what i disliked the most about the show it would be the OST so far... like seriously that needs an overhaul. But overall my stance is it's an 8 for me and it may even make it to a 9 by the time it's done. I dare say it could be rewatchable especially with great company and food. <3

EDIT: I have one decisive gripe about the show now though (after starting to rewatch it... on its first day out... this does not bode well lol) WHY does the director keep on panning to the shoes!!! Like I can see it being an artistic choice to convey movement and emotion but BRO we do not need like 7 shoe shots in 1 ep! (especially when the shoes are not all that cute smh lol) All in all my earlier points remain and I'm still excited to see how the rest of the show goes (heck as long as it's better than "love's ambition" a win is a win). But please let there be a reduction in the feet shots, dirty shoes do nothing for me (sigh, lol <3)

EDIT 2: The AI use in this show.... is certainly a choice. Brooo the planes? the plane crash in the ep 8 preview? Even the scene of him burning the field (with no accelerant, and him being able to stand so close to the flames)- LOLLLLL. However, the plot is pretty great (and I'm grateful they deviated so much from the original source material) and I'm happy that the romance in this show has a pulse. But broooo that scene in ep 7 where she got up to leave before the play ended and in the next shot they show her still in her seat wthelly sksjssjsksj. Decisions were made, decisions were made.
