If you are not watching this drama, I would recommend it. It is really well written, and the casting is spot on. I know everyone wants the fine leading man, but in this case, again, the casting is spot on. Great revenge storyline.
@Majestic You me Meng Wan? She is married to Xu Zhiyang, Master of the Xu Mansion. She became Madam Xu after his main wife died and after taking care of her for seven years, she told her husband to marry her. He does.
I'm on episode 8 and you really don't see him pretty much after the 2nd episode. She is doing all of her plotting without him being around. Maybe in later episodes he will appear but now, no.
@mdla I am so with you. I was so mad. They actually weren't even interrogating her. They were raping her all over again. If it wasn't for Shen, they would have. Oh, and how about the lady that was supposed to inspect her told her that if she couldn't get undress, she was going to get the guys to do it. She even asks her for privacy, and she said no because she was no longer a virgin. Say what granny bitch? You mean to tell me this is how another woman treats another woman? I wanted to slap her.
Through only 8 episodes I have been so mad because you can understand the attitude of the men but these women and then the family telling her to basically get over what was done. They all are giving this dick a pass for what he did to her. Oh, because he has such a stellar reputation there is no way he could have done what she said he did. I am so annoyed with how they are treating her.
I was also annoyed with MW for telling her basically the same thing to shut up and deal. I'm sorry I'm with Rulan. I would have beat the hell out of that drum.

I started watching this due to the storyline. So far it is decent. The ML is not the usual fine man you see in the C-dramas, but his alright.
It starts out in the past and shows MW and LR as best friends at the embroidery tower with all the other girls. No men except for WL. You see how LR is protective of MW because she is quiet. They all are getting painted when someone screams only to find a girl has died in the well. Well, of course there is a coverup. Paid off the constable.
We then go ahead seven years to find MW married. She is now plotting revenge for LR who is dead. (We don't know yet how). You see MW is now a madam (she was a second wife) and now she has access to all the people she needs to get. We see the constable who did the covering up went to jail on bribery has since been released. MW will now have him join the plan.
Going back to the past, you see that LR is bothered by WLnot noticing her embroidery and she goes to MW to talk to her only to go see MW on WL's lap and him kissing her neck (notice I said, he was kissing her and not the other way around, she is not responding in least) at that moment MW sees that LR is watching. She jumps up but by then LR is gone. The next day, MW is trying to tell LR what the deal is and that he forced himself on her. LR doesn't believe her until she starts telling her about how you go from silk sheets to linen sheets once he has his way. MW tries to tell her, not to go to confront WL but because she doesn't believe her, she goes anyway to which he says to her, "Yep, I am and your point."
Now, wasn't that good? Come on you all know that drama was off the chain.
Can we talk about my Salvatore bothers, please? They were all that and a bag of chips, for real! The best, I mean the best side eye looks, hands down GSJ! That man could throw some serious side eye and shade at the same time. And his brother GYZ, please. He is another hottie, with his Poison Ivy gloves and satchel and all. Poison me anytime and detox me. Isn't it funny how everyone, I mean everyone was getting poisoned, but they just seem too always be fine.
Then my little blue baby boy Smurf, he was working those spins and that sword. Little miniature sage. I was like don't mess with baby boy Smurf now, because he has something for you. Yes, he did, killed him didn't he.
SQ, SQ, BW1! I could not and cannot stand her. I mean, I swear that she should be at the point that she doesn't know what truth is and what is a lie. Honestly, she hits my man GSJ as she is getting ready to check out and basically ghost his ass and tell him, oh, by the way, I'm pregnant, peace out! I cannot. I tell you what? If I was having that man's baby, oh you best believe I am right there beside him. Fine as he is. You know that child will be cute. Baby probably just like him, giving those side eyed looks.
YWS aka BW2, Girlfriend was working, I mean working that fight scene her and her man GZY were in tandem. I mean that was an awesome fight scene. But now after we feel that things have died down that we can get some happiness. Come on, didn't we see that a mile away that wasn't going to happen. Lo and behold, she has a twin. Go figure. Oh, and she isn't coming back because guess what? She is captured with her twin. Train her to be just like YWS and send her back. But if that would happen, GZY is just too smart not to know it isn't her if they try a switch.
And what about loony-toon brother who is still alive mind you. If he planned this so long ago, what makes us not think that he doesn't know about her twin? Or he has more tricks up his sleeve.
I must say I thoroughly enjoyed this. Let me tell you, there better be sequel to this because I need some closure with this drama.

And you didn't see that coming after you brought her back alive. I know he was like, "WTH, just happened? What is up with her killing YQ. Better act like I'm ok with it." Which he did. Oh, don't forget to tell YWS the Gong family did it. Wow! This is one twisted mess!
Let's not forget that SQ (BW1) was spinning her web of tales and sliding all up in the hot tub with my Salvator Brother - GSJ. Yeah, we know you want to get a little something-something, but you have to be all cool. We feel you GSJ. You do you with SQ. But you know she is lying with everything that comes out of her mouth. Actually, these two make good adversaries. Neither trust the other but I bet you if they would get together...whew!!!
Now, it looks like in episode 18 that GZY and the "little blue smurf" are doing a cover up by sending YWS (BW2) to go get the lotus. I mean, what is GZY to do since he knows the deal that YWS is with Wufeng. Yes, cover that up for your gurl! You have the Salvatore Brother - GYZ hot on GZY ass coming to the back of the hill to bring YWS out. This occurred because, you know he heard what was going on by hanging out like Spiderman in the tree when Elder Yue and YWS were talking.
When GYZ did finally come down, he met the sword of JF who was like, "What are you doing up in the Yue crib." So, you know it was time for those to start fighting and this fight was a long time coming. My man JF-- don't mess with the red guardian, ok? GYZ has no idea, that JF is like Superman getting hit with the yellow sun. He will take GYZ down!!! Yes, love me some JF!
The Elder Sister, I really have no words for her and her deal. She wants to sneak in the back hill. She is too much.
