Lost You Forever finished 6 months of shooting on September 25, 2022, has been split into seasons to accommodate for China regulatory board NRTA's move to cap every drama at 40 episodes.
While the best scenario would be for Lost You Forever Season 2 to air right after season 1 ends, rumors say that it won't be released until a few months later before the end of the year. However, a new policy from NRTA may just change that. New policy dictates that total number of hours per drama will be capped at 1,800 minutes which means 40-episode drama can have 45 minutes max. This has been done to combat Zhu Shui Ju which refers to dramas that endlessly drag on, sacrificing quality for the sake of filling the time. To deter needlessly long dramas adopting a seasonal format just to air one "long" drama, the new season cannot air until 12 months later.
Unfortunately, it makes it that much harder for dramas that really require that much airtime, such as historical dramas, which often need longer airtime. The 12 month wait for it to air will be painful not only for viewers but also an added risk for the show since what is popular now, might not have the same pull a year later. The new policy should only apply to new dramas being made and because it came out after Lost You Forever started airing, many are unsure what it would mean for the second season.

First of all, what was up with all the cutting away and jumping from scene to scene. It was so disjointed. WTH kind of ending was that? What is up with all these loose ends or is it me?
1. DRA goes into the lake, and we are to assume that CG goes in to. 2. Did LES ever look for CG? I mean, she never let that man go anywhere without hunting him down. 3. I assume when KSJ accepted the award that she married DDM and that was there child. 4. What happened to BDY's husband? Did she go crazy not only for losing CG but her husband as well? 5. Did KSJ every look for DRA? 6. What happened to Ayla? I assume that DDM told her they were over. 7. Did DCJ marry his girl after finding out that she was pregnant and divorce her after finding out the true paternity? 8. Since JSM was so in love with BDY what happened to her? 9. What was up with CG's speech when BDY was killing him in his past life.
I mean I could go on and on with the questions on this drama, but I am so ticked off. This was the lamest ending. I would have accepted at least a couple more episodes to tie it up better than this. Is anyone hearing about another season or is this.
I have now binged all 12 episodes. I have to give props to the FL - YCY because she is doing it in this drama so far. You all know I was giving her a beatdown for her performance in Chong Zi. But she is definitely holding her own here. Kudos to her.
Yes, I heard the "Royal Nirvana OST" in episodes 8 and 11. If you have not seen that drama, you need to put that on your list. That drama was all that. Loved Royal Nirvana.
The first tribulations of CK as a boar and XY as a baby lion cub was adorable. CK really did have a boar personality and he was so on point.
Now, HKQ is going to mess around with CK's tribulations. I don't know why but I think he is. Because in the second tribulation the one immortal was questioning what was going on because that was written that way. So, I'm thinking he is up to something. I could be wrong.
The prince also in the tribulation was too much. And what was up with the red eyes? Did he go over the edge into evil or what?
When CK came back after dying I'm wonder does, he has any sense as to what happened at all? I know he drank the amnesia. stuff but will he ever have a sense of any of his tribulations?
I'm liking this drama so far. Can't wait to see what happens next.
