Ichika won the competition and managed to impress the grumpy old food critic as well. She tried to drive away Amane but then decided to be honest about her feelings for him with a little push from Tajima and they reconciled at the end of the episode. They did keep things open with Amane's brother ominously saying 'Eventually Kuwanuki will be a part of Yamaguchi anyway'. Huge potential for S2 there.
