Although I would have watched this drama for Dylan Wang in any case, I find the plot well crafted and YL's character refreshing. It's good to see a slick, smart, brave FL who isn't just a damsel in distress.
I also hope they keep their trust in each other, they did exchange an oath and they know each other well. I would like XD to keep trusting YL and to realize quickly that she just wanted to protect him.

Lol XD is a crazy character it seems. I too think YL will be forced to marry the emperor as seen in the trailer, but I think (i hope) XD will arrive with an army to interrupt the wedding, and there will be an epic battle!

I also think they will make up on the boat and work out a strategy. But things will probably not go as planned since XD will be imprisoned and I think YL will be imprisoned (we saw that XD had a premonitory dream about this in episode 15)

Yes i think they cut the bath scene, we saw it in the trailer.

The scene seems to have been cut during editing. But in episode 20, when Yin lou is waiting for XD at home, she has a memory and we see briefly the bath scene.

In the bath scene, she appears naked and he is dressed. That's when he tells her that he is not a eunuch and then the scene is cut. So I wondered if they had done it or not.

The empress surprises me, in the first episodes she could clearly see that Xiao Duo had betrayed her and left her to support the new emperor, and it looks like she is still crazy about him.

In any case, I think the next episodes will be tense.
A bit disappointed with XD's reaction in the preview, when he is angry and throws the shoes...as if YinLou really had the choice to say no to the emperor...

I don't understand it either. After all they said to each other, their promises...I don't understand how he can be mad at her, he must know that she is a victim, that she is not in this situation on purpose.

Your hypotheses are very interesting and somewhat in line with mine.

1) 100% agree with you. In my opinion, the emperor will soon show his true face, which we are starting to see (during the lantern festival, he takes a jubilant pleasure in killing the bandit for example). Moreover, he sees Xiao Duo more and more as a threat. He told his eunuch that people feared Xiao Duo more than him even though he was the emperor (episode 13). So when he starts to suspect the feelings of the leads, he will be enraged.

2) I thought of this hypothesis too. I think the emperor will become the common enemy of Xiao Duo and the Prince of Nanyuan and they can make an alliance. From what I've seen of the various trailers, I wouldn't be surprised if there's an epic battle scene at the end, where Xiao Duo invades the emperor's palace with the help of the Prince of Nanyuan's army, in order to save YinLou and prevent her marriage.

3) I'm still not sure where the empress will fit in. I think she is quiet dangerous too. She seemed to have feelings for Xiao Duo in the first few episodes, and on top of that we can see in a trailer that she asks him to kill YinLou, and he reacts very badly.

4) I still wonder if there will be a happy ending. Apparently there is in the book, but since Dylan Wang has advised viewers to protect their hearts while watching the drama, I have a doubt. I can't imagine LF marrying the emperor, or perhaps she will be forced to, but the marriage will not be consummated in my opinion. But I can imagine her killing herself, or sacrificing herself for the ML, or something like that.

Oh no, I don't like that. If we have to protect our hearts, I'm afraid it's because the end of the drama will be sad. I can imagine that there will be a darker turn, but I would really like a happy ending for the leads. Would the only way to unchain their love be through death?

My little heart won't bear it lol… in the last episode, I was sad for Yin Lou when Xiao Duo became cold with her. When she is drunk and crying and blaming him for being distant, so sad after the cuddling scene in the bed !

My hypothesis is that Yin Lou will eventually sacrifice herself and pretend to reject Xiao Duo to protect him, (a bit like in "Love Between Fairy and Devil", when DFQC pretends to reject Orchid to protect her because of the bracelet that poisons her), she will accept to marry the emperor. And obviously (I hope) our ML will realize that she did this to protect him and will fly to rescue her !

Same here ! I wonder what is the meaning of Xiao Duo's nightmare. When he is wounded by the arrow and unconscious, he dreams that he is looking for Yin Lou near a tea house and he discovers it on the floor. Is it a premonitory dream?

I love reading your comments because they make me rethink details of the series and see things in a different light. From what I see in the previews, Yinlou becomes aware of her feelings for Xiao Duo without knowing that he's not really a eunuch, and I like that idea.

So my guess, from what I've seen of the preview for the next episode, is that she's going to realize that she loves him during the attack on the boat, when he's in danger and he's going to get hurt to save her.

I think we can expect a first kiss in the next episode!
