That's all the point since episode 1. Nothing new here but this show tries to criticize the pressure that can be put on athletes, Gu Ram's coach, Ujin's mother, corruption too, cheating etc. Wanting to win is laudable and important, but being obsessed at all costs, without taking pleasure, is unhealthy and harmful. (That show is actually pretty good btw)
