The painter is left handed and he is absurd and obsessed with crazy ideas, like dipping a lady’s hair into pig’s blood to paint a piece. The crown piece only paints with his left in private. The prince only used the painter as a shield to remove suspicions from him if shot ever hits the roof. The painter ticks all checks of him being the one drawing on the kids due to his craziness.
First of all, I really don’t understand why there are so many people who seem to hate this series or are overly…
They checked his foot injury which hongrang was supposed to have and also since he ticked the whole physical appearance of what they imagined Hongrang to be, they believed him. I think he won them over with the whole memory loss incident and since the shaman had convinced his mom a visitor was coming, nothing would have stopped her.
I don’t think the drawing was to make him have those feelings or so, he was just a piece of paper carrying a drawing. He wasn’t meant to be driven by carnal pleasure. He simply is a walking talisman. The only effect of the drawing is that it’s ugly and explicit and no one should have that written on them. Until he is sacrificed before all the drawing starts taking effect on the crown prince, so they are just empty drawings to the carriers.
I was looking forward to watch this drama bc of Lee Jaewook. His acting was phenomenal! (sometimes I saw Jang…
The snowman was just a mercenary made by the prince under the disguise of being a ghost or monster, to make people believe a monster is the one capturing the kids instead of human. Who would want to catch a monster? Who would believe a ghost kidnaps children? It was just a make believe. A mercenary good with sword. And the painter is left handed and is known for gruesome and absurd obsessions, so it only makes suspicions get far away from the prince, since the prince is known for painting with his right hand in public. So he was using them both as a shield to hide under while carrying on his crazy acts.
yes. and why a 'fertility' drawing? and what were the other drawings on nine or however many poor victims there…
In the most polite way ever, the crown prince was wanting to achieve a state of immortality and he needs human talisman. The shaman explained it, he needed human sacrifice that has these drawings inscribed on their backs. The one ML has is the Yin and Yang drawing with sacrificial characters. It was well explained in the drama, maybe not the details of the drawing but why they had the drawings. And the male lead was the one with the most indecent and gruesome one. It’s all just part of the dark plot of the drama and it’s a mystery that comes from a place of Fiction.
I am so annoyed that they didn't focus on that storyline more and instead gave us household / guild politics that…

I didn't understand that either. The snowman wasn't even in the manhwa, they made him up to make it look more…
The little hongrang was known for always sneaking out to meet his sister at night. So I think the first episode, he was shown running and falling into a ditch. I guess he was running from the snowman then. He actually met the snowman, but he was not a target or the snowman thought he died from the fall and that ruled him out from being useful. That happened before he sneaked out and fell from the wall… Nevertheless he encountered the snowman once, fell and lost his consciousness and thought it was a dream.
After the last episode, since Hongrang sent him to the afterlife quite easily, I'd say nope
I think the snowman was just a part of Crown prince plan in the capturing of kids. He made people believe it was a demon/monster/ghost who was kidnapping their kids. It was just a way to remove suspicions about it being human doings. I guess the crown prince thought, you can’t catch a demon who kidnaps a child, but you would have raised an alarm if it was a human who did. The snowman was just one of his demonic objects he created to be a mercenary. It was all make believe monster he made from a damaged skin swordsman.
These comments seem surprisingly negative.I thought this was captivating and I couldn't stop watching despite…

I’m here once again to appreciate the swords play in this drama and to also appreciate Lee Jae Wook. He is an amazing actor. And also despite lots of similarities Jang Uk and Sim Homgrang share, the differences in character portray was so evident. Jang uk was a bubbly swordman while Hongrang is a living dead assassin. His facial expressions were on point!
Most MDL users just come to vent irrelevant anger or hatred on actors. If an actor is not for you, don’t watch it. If a show is not for you drop it. You could actually be very polite in giving your review, you don’t have to come vent your frustrations here. I never watched All of us are dead or Sweet home despite loving the leads because Zombieverse is not for me, and I never ranted about it. I do not like it doesn’t mean anyone else should not like or watch it. I dropped Lee Dong Wook’s latest drama(divorce ..) after the second episode and I did not go to write about how or why I don’t like it, despite the fact that I have watched all his dramas and I like him as an actor. I stopped watching Mark and Ohm’s Dentist drama at episode 3 and I’m not in the comment section to criticize the movie. I just picked up another show to watch. If you can’t give a constructive criticism without being offensive then it’s better you don’t leave a comment at all. Don’t just go I hate them cause they are overhyped, or it’s just not giving or it’s not worth it. Politely give reasons and what you feel should have worked better. And also make sure your reasons are not coming from a place of bias or hatred.

I never read the book and only watched the drama too. Maybe the directors were trying not to make it draggy or maybe they just didn’t want to give deatiled explanations. Jae yi’s father is a merchant, a big merchant in their town who imports and exports goods, and they deal majorly with sales of Art Pieces and materials used in painting, while the crown prince is a painter. So it’s only fair for the prince to have dealings with him as he is the biggest artwork seller in their land. So they have a co-dependent relationship.
1. First of all, wtf is the deal with the Snow Man, his character felt so off, like why is he even there, who…
