Premises have common points. A father died and his soul is transferred in a younger man.
Humorous tone and romance seems to be other similarities.

The tone is slightly less melodramatic in Graceful Family and they also use humour to reinterpret the classic makjang tropes. Both dramas are a deep-dive in the crazy of one chaebol family. What are they willing to do to preserve their ?? and dirty secrets? Do all paternity is legit or some are questionable? Why an estranged character is coming back after years in the US? Are all death and disparition without suspicion? …
Graceful family is shorter and the cast did a great job playing with the over the top persona and the clichés.

Both drama deal about of community of mothers willing to go to extreme extents for their kid education.
Crash course in romance lack balance by wanting to tackle too many genres at the same time. Green mother Club is really focus on the competition between mothers with thriller tone.
Green mother has less shining and pop actors but the acting is top tier.

Two office romance about a older woman with experience and a position falling for a much more younger man that still needs to build his career and personality. The tone and the pace are different Encounter is more mature, sensitive and melo. Encounter has also a magnificent cinematography, opening credits were awful but the rest is beautifully filmed.
When I think about time travel in kdramas my mind goes straight to Rooftop Prince one of the OG. The premises with a Joseon character landing in modern day Joseon Hell feeling lost but looking to reunite with a first love with a mysterious scar on the face. Rooftop Prince was a mix of humour and old days melodrama here the humour and modern romance give another tone to the content. But those two share first love, revenge, time travel, chaebol, lost memory, struggle in modern day Korea, family conflict, trahison ….so many similar boxes are ticked.
Love to hate is one of most known enemies to lovers kdramas amongst fans. We can find in both dramas a strong female lead who likes to fight versus an controversial lead man. Humour is also a common point, many exaggerated situations.
As soon REC started I relived Just Friends which was released 2 years prior. I have seen Just Friends a very long time ago. Both stories are about 2 men in love sharing a secret relationship. Both movies are short and very compelling. Both of a bite of sexual contents and moments of beautiful intimacy.
Writing fiction about your teachers or your favourite idol can become dangerous especially when fiction and reality intertwine.
2 common points, main characters are writers. LGBTQ aspect is also an undeniable component of both stories.
They are writers who get inspiration from real characters of their own life, on own side 4 sexy new teachers on the other for 4 ex-girlfriends…but it’s getting out of control.
2 female leads are innocent sexy web novels writers who get caught between reality and the fiction they create.
Here 2 young women are watching pretty boys next door. Comical vibes are common. In one we are in the webtoon business in the other the BL web novel.
