why yall dissing this so much?
i finally got around to watching this series n I remember people on tumblr/x/reddit and here bashing this.but I gotta say this aint as bad as yall are making it out to be imo.
the acting was great. They're renditions of the og characters were good. it was entertaining and has some really good songs in there.
sure, the product placements were every 10 minutes, but hey, it's what helps them makes these shows, so I aint complaining.
my only tiff is with the mothers but I always feel indifferent when it comes to moms on thaibls so it's not rly a drawback either.
yall complaining about lack of plot. does every bl need some big plot to be enjoyable? I don't think so. this series is great just the way it is.
also I loved mudmee's father. dudes manic giggle when he was threatening half was the highlight of the series for me.
my last 2 cents: give it chance before u judge it based on others reviews.

a typical jbl
Started watching this after i had just caught up on Popular Serizawa, n i noticed how similar the 2 are. its literally the same show just in different font. that doesnt mean it wasnt enjoyable tho. i very much enjoyed it. but it very much follows the same tropes as ur typical jbl: matching items, miscommunication, popular guy likes unpopular guy, a group outing turns into a date but its not rly a date, festival stuff n so on.i think the only thing that set this apart from other jbls like it is they gave us actual kisses instead of dead fish kisses. im still shocked.
oh and i rly like the ost song.

best kbl I've seen by far
if u find the the title n setting of the story off-putting, ignore it. don't wait forever like I did.yes, yechan character is a bit of himbo but I found him endearing n ended up being my favorite thing about the show.
I laughed so much thru this n even wanted to cry during sad scenes. definitely great acting from all cast.
I ended up absolutely loving the countryside setting. so different from the usual bl settings like school grounds cafes clubs city life places.
I meant what I said: BEST KBL IVE EVER SEEN
an absolute gem I hope they make a special ep or s2 cuz I need more of these guys.

somehow the plot works; a solid series imo. the relationships are (pun intended) 🤌🏼chefs kiss!🤌🏼youll want to skip dinner to watch this as it will fill you up delicious sexy scenes between chef oab n plawan n with scrumptious tension growing between methas and jj. but with only 8 eps, it left me hungry for more. 🤤all jokes aside, i really loved this series. and after pit babe and this, ive become a big fan of the change actors.cant wait to see more from them, especially jj’s actor; i just adore him. 😚
