Toxic and obsessive
I liked the beginning initially but along the line, alot of things didn't make sense. The reason why zhang zhe and Xuening could not be together in life 2, i still don't get. ML was a raging red burning forest. The romance scenes were giving abusive and toxic and in real life it wouldn't be encouraged so not sure why this happened.Was this review helpful to you?
Inconsistent
Started off very funny. Then fell off. Lots of plot holes that makes no sense but we have to just accept. So much of ancestor business for it to end up being someone else but how? What happened with princess and pei fei? ML endured alot alone at the end and it was all resolved with a dream of two people who happened to faint at the same location. Absolutely ridiculous ending. What happened to Ayuan, the chef liu, even the owner of the other restaurant that was interested in Ji cai, how did they just not get shown again to even remember or forget the shens? Did they not exist at all? Could tell the writers weren't sure what direction they wanted to go anymore. Father and son characters were super annoying. FL was annoying as well. Yang yang lovely. confusion
Watched this twice to make sure it wasn't as bad as I thought it was but was still bad second time. Tried to be too many things at once. The romance also made no sense as no reason or build up to them suddenly getting together. it was also backseat to the political conspiracy theme which was also done badly. Maybe they should have had more episodes to properly tell a story but trying to fit so many things in 9 episodes was a bad idea. ML i love but he looked tired and didn't seem to want to be in this drama but then again, I guess that's how to play a mercenary.Was this review helpful to you?
