Yes, yes, yes! These three sisters are so badly written it’s hard to feel anything for them. Does In Ju have to be so annoyingly stupid for the plot to advance? And isn’t In Kyung supposed to be an empath? So how can she have so little understanding of her younger sister’s feelings and motivations? In Hye is a brat, but I’d also want to get away from those two older sisters if I were in her place.

She killed Scarface Shang to avenge him. That was satisfying, I’d had enough of Shang.

I’m loving this show! At last a true wuxia drama, with terrific fight choreography, stunning cinematography, a badass FL who is a match to the ML. I only wish the eps dropped daily.

No, he’s dubbed. The voice suits DFQC perfectly imo.

I love both dramas. They both have strong leads, beautiful cinematography and visual storytelling. The leads in ADOS are more mature; TSOML has more melodrama, through which the leads grow and mature.

So right about Tony Leung, who may just be my favourite actor. Chen Xiao has the same expressive eyes and inner fire. Love him!😍

A Dream of Spendor sent me in search of Chen Xioa's dramas and I see all the charm and 🔥 that he brings to DOS in his performance in this drama. The production is uneven and the subs on YouTube are not good but the acting of leads and support cast is terrific which makes it worth pushing through the clunky parts. Romance is slow burn but sweet when it arrives. The love scenes, though few, are tender and 💥.

Their relationship is confirmed though not directly. When GJ asks DZ whether he likes JJ in front of their colleagues, he says yes. After that we see them going around together, and people gossiping about them being in love.

Gripping fast paced crime drama with non-stop plot twists that need your full attention. Good acting all round, an adorable kid and super-smart villains. It’s strange that Yu Sheng Hai is billed as a supporting character when he’s really a lead.

I agree on all points. I’ve read that there were problems with the producer and the direction but that’s no excuse for bad writing. Stupid writing makes the characters look stupid too.

Ah yes, I made a mental note in ep 18 that the flower would save one or even both of them at some point.

@ Pencil Box: that is so interesting! I’m enjoying the show but found eps 21-26 a little too calm and with too much sugar. But it seems show knows what its local audience wants.

Military dramas are not my cup of tea usually; I started watching to see how YY would perform in a challenging role. Now I’m hooked, surprised by the humor and emotional intensity of some scenes. And YY is doing well.

Worth watching for that alone 😳

I’ve been enjoying this drama but by ep 8 I’m tired of the way the writers make the FL appear stupid and unable to tell the truth.

I don’t understand the low rating. This drama is a masterpiece with stellar acting from the leads and gorgeous music. The writing and story development is also good. A comment describes it as ‘raunchy’ ; I guess that makes sense if you disapprove of age gaps between couples and the relationship status of one lead, but how 1950s is that?

@Noh I recommend Do You Like Brahms; it’s less melo and no age gap but with great acting and insight into the classical music industry. I’m now a fan for life of ML Kim Min Jae. 😍

I’m mostly enjoying this drama, but the FL’s lack of backbone is working my nerves. Because she doesn’t speak up and explain herself when she should, she quite often lies by omission. Writers need to know that it’s possible to be shy and have a sensitive artistic personality without being a doormat.

I wish QY would grow some real smarts and not blurt out her suspicions before proving them..
