Same thoughts. Honestly I like this kinda of plotline. Not the usual ones where there’re so many plot points and twists thrown at us. This is a subtle buildup and very detailed. Something not many people have the patience to continue watching, which I also kind of understand

I think he’s especially great with micro expressions which are extremely hard to do. And casting directors know that. He looks handsome, beautiful sharp eyes. Also so many people think he’s wearing colored contacts lenses, which is not true. His natural amber eyes can speak a lot

Personally I think Pei Jiyi’s arrival makes the storyline more interesting for me. As much as he’s annoying, it pushed Mei Zhuyu to step up. And also the whole evil cultivation is interesting

Yeah, that ghost thingy says he’s the lord of destruction. I wonder if it’s something like Shen Yi in Under the Skin, where deep down the guy’s mind has traits of a psycho, but because of the way he was brought up, he turned out to be a good person, and able to read the mind of a psycho person. Like that I wonder if A’shu is inherently a bad person (parents being evil demons) who was raised to be a good person.

I feel like MZY is the strongest. Wu Zhen destroyed a demon elder who has been cultivating for 1000 years, but then she has to put effort when destroying the tiger demon at night. But MZY was able to destroy 100s of them all at once.

I feel like this is one of the plots that build up brick by brick. You start with the background, details and they introduce characters, traits one by one. We are not even in the main plot stage yet. The production team only leaked the first 20 episodes script and the latter 18 episodes script was tightly protected from leaking. So I guess you’ll see more action later, especially when they get to know their identities, there’s no reason for them to conceal their powers from each other
