I don't know about you but while I feel bad for the male lead I understand the characters in the drama, if her personality has always been the type who like overdoing things. It's hard to stop and whenever she wants to stop doing those habits more trials come because she already started breaking the rule. That doesn't mean she has no compassion for him.

What do you mean her worst character, so someone cannot be flawed ?, if it was the male lead who was more complex will you say this . That is why he is hoping for a change and explanation too. Almost everything you mentioned is twisting her narrative, what do you mean her love is artificial . If Hua Rue Yue never loved him she won't go to the mortal world with him.

It is not really off putting because her personality has always been the type to do too much, she fought a lot with him before they got along, she loves him but her being compassionate is not bad but needs balance
