That means any show with open BL elements, or even characters shipped in a same-sex relationship, is very unlikely to pass the review process.

So agan, I ask that everyone remembers the context here. Due to these government-imposed censorship rules, a true BL series wouldn't be able to pass the review or obtain a distribution license. The content we’re seeing, even if it has some LGBTQ+ themes, likely doesn't fit the typical BL genre as we know it, because it’s been modified to meet the necessary standards for distribution in China.
