We are not getting anymoreEdit. We are getting 1 ep for the whole week
It was not canceled; the user means that we won’t have 2 episodes per day this week and will only get 1 episode per day. The new schedule was posted last night, and starting today, August 31, through September 6, Youku will release 1 episode per day. If you’re watching on Netflix, Netflix will follow the same schedule as well. This schedule only covers this week, and another schedule will be posted next week.

I don't get it...So did they film for 40 episodes 45 mins and it got reduced to 19 episodes??
As far as I know, it was only filmed for 20 episodes, and 1 episode was cut. The 40-episode count is for documentation purposes only when they applied for filing with the NRTA. Other networks do the same as well.
Any episode count listed before a drama passes censorship or officially airs is still tentative. The confirmed episode count will only be known once the drama officially airs or passes censorship. However, in some cases, even after a drama has passed censorship, the network can still cut episodes under certain circumstances.
Today, it was supposed to air episodes 11 and 12, but only episode 11 aired. Does anyone know why???
Youku posts the release schedule weekly, so if you see only 11 episodes listed on Netflix or Youku, it’s because that schedule only covers the current week. Youku does not post the full release schedule all at once; they update it weekly.

Basically the commercial process of finding and securing sponsors and advertisers before a drama airs. The streaming platform or production/distribution company presents the drama to brands and advertising partners and offers different sponsorship and advertising packages. These can include title sponsorship, product placement, advertisements, branded promotions, and marketing campaigns involving the drama and its cast.
The purpose is to generate commercial revenue and secure sponsorship deals before the broadcast. In some cases, this commercial income can help support the drama’s overall marketing and other expenses.

Hopefully, we’ll at least get some new content this time. We didn’t get any new content from the last Youku Conference.
