I agree the journey should have been one more episode or even two because it didn't made sense in one minute he was willing to let her go and their daughter but the moment she says she is leaving he dosen't want too. It would be way better if she really left and he started to feel alone and missing is family. The way the writer made this last episode it was confused to me. Maybe if the amnesia started at episode 15 or half episode 15 would be better. That's why I hate when they play the amnesia card because the ending is always confused and rusheded (at the least the dramas I saw till this day). At least they didn't made him gain is memory again all of the sudden. I still love this drama and I will always recommend but the ending dosen't make this drama justice at all in my opinion. Still in my TOP 5 dramas of 2020.

I agree with you and I feel like the reason why you feel that way about the leads couple is because of the FL acting. LJG's acting was always great, his expressions... evrything was on point but the female lead acting is very normal. Her crying scenes and I little forced ( I saw her previous dramas she did improved but she still has alot of work to do) you can see she is trying so you can only relate to some level.

agree 100%. The writer was too ambitious in the last episode that's why I give a 8.5. The endidng was rushed.

I agree. The amnesia thing was so unecessary like common this drama was so good and they really had to give us the most cliche plot at the very end. I hate when they do this because we can feel when things are going to end bad and ep 15 told us already it was going to be fine. The leads are together like 5 minutes in the last episode he dosen't remember how much he loves his family and BOOM the end. I hate it. I rather see i'm in coma and wake up moths afther than this endidng honestly.

This dramas was amazing. I was hooked since the beginning because os LJG's acting that was fanstastic as usual but the story line was a masterpiece everything added up I personally loved the fact that this drama was about I married couple with a daughter wich made me fall for the drama even more.
Also I have to say that the actor who played the villan did an EXCELLENT job. I never saw him before but now I'm a fan I hope he wins an award for real.

I personally didn't really liked the amnesia role in the last episode in fact I hate it. I know it was an happy ending but I wished they would just used something else. I feel like the amnesia plays in drama as a last struggle for the leads to finally be together and happy. It keeps the viewers watching till the very end (Knowing that everything is going to be ok) I hate to see them apart just for them to being together for 5 minutes and than BOOM we never see them again I hate this kind of ending. I feels like the writer is afraid to try something new or even normal. Just because of that I give this drama a 8.5 stars.

If you want to watch this drama but the 51 episodes scares you DON'T BE SCARED. 51 Episodes are going to fly so fast you won't believe it.
First of all, the story dosen't drag at all and isn't rushed. You will watch the progress of the female lead and all her struggles till she becomes the Empress Ki and you will love it. This drama is based on real historical events so if you’re up for realistic drama watch it and remember and remember Empress Ki did exist so this is her story with a bit of fiction.

The romance is great but the thing that keeps you watching is how stategic this drama i you will see how they overcome all obstacules and what they lost in the progress.
I rememeber watching this drama and be amazed how strong the female lead was at the time so rare in most previous dramas.
I been watching dramas for 9 years now and this is drama is till in my TOP 5 Kdramas of all time. I watched this many years ago but I decided to give this drama a REVIEW now.

Saw this years ago... In the begining it was really fine but it dragged wayyy to much. All the episodes are the same.. they try to kill the FM then 2 episodes later she is safe and next peisode is the same thing

Normaly when you watch a drama you follow the perpective of the female lead and you relate with her but this drama it was different for me.
It was like I was seing the all story from the perpective of the male lead and I LOVE IT. He was really cute and I really liked his character.
But I have to say the female lead character was annoying and it bothered me that she didn't make a decision for herself till the very end. Like C'mon I understand her situation and all but if it wasn't for the second lead let her go the drama would have ended. Even tho they will be season 2 they made her way too indesive and that was annoying.

Just finished minutes ago and I have to say WORST DRAMA OF 2020. Woo Do Hwa was the motive I kept watching and I didn't even knew him before LMAOO
Like seriously:
-The villan didn't move a finger to save himself. Been ploting revenge +20 yeas at the end din't bother to save his own a**
-Chemistry between the leads isn't there too forced. The writer didn't even bother to build a romance first and jump to relationship status . The actors tried with their acting skills but No still failed.
- Too many holes in the story. So many questions left.
- Could have easily end with 12 episodes because NO ATUAL STORY
- Characters left out like they wasn't apart of the drama and make everything possible
I feel like the writer had an idea for this plot but he got lazy an give up of the story from the start and just decided to present us with NO SENSE STORY LINE+CLICHES
I hope some actor like Yeong, PM and Shin Jae get more roles and Wayyy better than this mess

Exactly How people are trying to kill you and you just sitting and watching. He waited YEARS to comeback and have revenge but didn't do sh!t to save himself. They just wanted LG to be an hero and din't mind to make sense.
