Oh I totally understand why you thought it was a "last minute fantasy indulgence", because for the entirety of the second half of the show, I thought this was going to go down the 'straight' route. I thought the author was a fujoshi, writing a fan fiction of herself dating one of her favourite gay characters... Or so I thought until I found out the author was a guy.

In my eyes it was a happy ending, but it depends on how you view it...

Yeah! I was so confused as well. But my take on it is that it was more for her than it was for him. Her speech said how she was in love with Jun, and she may have thought that this was her last opportunity to kiss him... And it also backs up how Jun loves her as well, just not in a romantic way. In reality, it’s not difficult to kiss someone who doesn’t fall into your orientation, so Jun may have been just doin her a favour. And also, it was kinda a fitting way to end that crazy speech, and it definitely hyped the audience up. I just felt sorry for Ryouhei cuz he saw his gay best friend kiss his crush :(

I'd just like to say, thank you so much for this link XD I've been trying so damn hard to find the un-subbed episodes to no avail. I just wish I'd checked kisskh sooner XDD
