I just stumbled upon this on Viki and it showed a side of the gay life that most BLs shy away from. This does not romanticize the dilemma faced by many families. The reaction of the son and grandfather is more the norm than we would like to believe. Even though this was made in 2013 I am sure there are many in 2022 who face the same challenges.
I can’t believe it’s coming to an end.,I’m going to miss Maze and Phab. Nueng and Tharn also grew on me. It has been good seeing some of my favorite actors from Tharntype, SOTUS and Together With Me. Lol..I even went back and rewatched each series. I hope to see them all in future projects . Yacht really proved that he deserves more than supporting roles.
Loved this episode. So many layers, so many dimensions and underlying nuances. Life is not all black and white or one dimensional. I like how the social/political commentary is woven into the storyline without being preachy. This is a different kind of bl and I am loving it. The actors and the music is awesome. I have a list of twenty new BLs for January/February alone. I’ve finished four already and am currently six others. None of them are alike. I’m glad to see BLs evolving from the cookie cutter formula. There really is something out there for everybody. Some will go on my rewatch list and some won’t. So far Not Me is on its way to being on my rewatch list. Please don’t hate on me too bad. This past week I had a lot of personal tragedy in my life and watching my BLs helped me get away from the sadness for a moment. Take care and be safe.
I actually loved episode 10. Miscommunication and wrong signals do happen. I feel Maze is starting to get in touch with his true feelings. I’m looking forward to next week.
After reading the reviews and comments I am looking forward to seeing this series. I love Krist and Ohm. Both are so talented. It’s refreshing to see them take on different roles and different genres. I got into BLs during the Covid lockdown and am a fan now. But I love all genres if the storyline is interesting and the acting is good.
Lol…this is like watching a soap opera from the USA….all these people are messed up…even the crazy police officer..imagine someone stab you in the stomach and you just give the person a big old hug cause it was an accident…lol…and this series really makes the men look so wimpy and stupid…lol…can’t wait to see what happens next.
What a wonderful experience watching this series has been. So many life lessons. Kudos to the entire cast and production team. The attention and respect shown to each character is to be commended. The music was awesome. I look forward to seeing Nanon and the two younger actors who played the gay characters( I apologize for not remembering their names at the moment) in future projects. They gave stellar performances. This will definitely go on my rewatch list. I have a dear older relative who is fighting for her life at this very moment so the last scene with the teacher was especially meaningful to me. Ironically my relative is also a retired teacher. Live well and take care.
Thank you for a very detailed and insightful analysis. By no means was this a masterpiece and it really did not set any new ground. A lot of it was contrived and unrealistic. However, I give the production team credit for identifying their target audience. They knew where the money was and they delivered. Take care and be safe.
I am loving this. There is so much intrigue and mystery surrounding the two mls. Bromance or romance I can’t wait to see what comes next. Already the mutual attraction for each other is so obvious .
Cute ending….they didn’t have to ever be friends but it would have been more realistic for the parents to just tell their sons they knew they were together so they would not have to pretend and walk on eggshells. The father knew who the gift was from and the other parents could hear the two talking and laughing. It does leave room for a Season 2 or if not that a Special Episode. Anyway I just wanted a happy ending so whether it made sense or not I’m good. Now it’s on to my next group of bl series. I count at least 17 in this first quarter of 2022. Take care and be safe.
