Lol…this is like watching a soap opera from the USA….all these people are messed up…even the crazy police officer..imagine someone stab you in the stomach and you just give the person a big old hug cause it was an accident…lol…and this series really makes the men look so wimpy and stupid…lol…can’t wait to see what happens next.
What a wonderful experience watching this series has been. So many life lessons. Kudos to the entire cast and production team. The attention and respect shown to each character is to be commended. The music was awesome. I look forward to seeing Nanon and the two younger actors who played the gay characters( I apologize for not remembering their names at the moment) in future projects. They gave stellar performances. This will definitely go on my rewatch list. I have a dear older relative who is fighting for her life at this very moment so the last scene with the teacher was especially meaningful to me. Ironically my relative is also a retired teacher. Live well and take care.
Thank you for a very detailed and insightful analysis. By no means was this a masterpiece and it really did not set any new ground. A lot of it was contrived and unrealistic. However, I give the production team credit for identifying their target audience. They knew where the money was and they delivered. Take care and be safe.
I am loving this. There is so much intrigue and mystery surrounding the two mls. Bromance or romance I can’t wait to see what comes next. Already the mutual attraction for each other is so obvious .
Cute ending….they didn’t have to ever be friends but it would have been more realistic for the parents to just tell their sons they knew they were together so they would not have to pretend and walk on eggshells. The father knew who the gift was from and the other parents could hear the two talking and laughing. It does leave room for a Season 2 or if not that a Special Episode. Anyway I just wanted a happy ending so whether it made sense or not I’m good. Now it’s on to my next group of bl series. I count at least 17 in this first quarter of 2022. Take care and be safe.
You Make Me Dance's writing is as clumsy as this tho (just a bit less)
I respect your opinion. Still, I love it. It makes me smile and with so much tragedy in my life lately that’s what gets my approval. I’m always open for change so I may look at it again and change my mind. Stay safe.
I just finished watching this series and I must say I loved it. There are just too many reasons why I could not stop watching once I started….maybe it was because the mls were two mature gay men who looked like regular men in their forties….maybe it was because their struggles as an older gay couple was dealt with in such a respectful way….the balance between humor and sadness, uncertainty and longing was right on the mark….And using food as another form of expression was the icing on the cake for me….and maybe it was because we see parents who grew up in another world but who love their son so much it’s their son who has the problem fully accepting who he is…I loved it when the father was the one who railed at him to stop playing with his life….maybe it was seeing gay couples can have straight friends and straight married couples have problems too….maybe it was because I remember my gay male cousin and how we loved him but he came up in a time when he could not enjoy the protections of today. The beautician and the 30 year old reminded me of him and made me smile. To me he wasn’t girly…he was flamboyant and wow did he know fashion. What did I know at 15…I’ve gotten plenty of other maybes but I’ll stop. I know this wasn’t everyone’s cup of tea but for me it was a breath of fresh air. Take care and be well.
Ok I admit I have seen worst…overall I thought the cutest moments are when the two mls are together…. there was too much of the third wheel although …I think they could have explained him away after ep 7 and just showed a cameo with him doing that last photo shot by himself. The best parts in ep 8 was that pink shirt, that kiss, that pink shirt. Would I rewatch again? Yes, on a snowy day( I live in Midwest USA) although whoever did the writing and editing should take a look at Follow My Sunshine and You Make Me Dance.
Lots of physical action…that scene on the rooftop was awesome…loving the interaction between Off and Gun…and our potential second couple had my heart pounding.
I am halfway through this series and I am loving it. It is a masterpiece. If you have ever been around anyone with mental disorders you will surely appreciate the range of emotions reflected in this series. Every nuance, each gesture and expression is so riveting. Kudos to Kim Soo Hyundai and Oh Jung Se as brothers. Also, the actress who plays their landlady and mother of the female therapist has got to be one of the richest support actresses in Korea. Whenever I see her I know I’m in for a treat. And it was so good to see Kwak Dong Yeon from Vincenzo. In fact all the actors/actresses were awesome. Having grown up with individuals with various mental disorders and having observed the impact they have on their caretakers and those around them I found myself laughing one minute and feeling empathy the next. This series hit all the right chords and reminded me it truly is okay not to be okay.
Sometimes I just want a short, sweet love story with no intrusive third party , no filler side story and a happy ending. Something I can binge watch on a cold, snowy day and feel warm and fuzzy. This is it for me.
