Apparently some of the cast and crew have been getting hate on their socials from both Thai and international…
I have said it before and I will repeat. This is a work of fiction. The crew and cast members, production team and anyone connected with the series are only doing their jobs. I abhor violence. If you like or don’t like something about the series that is your personal opinion. Thank you.
#ipromisedyouthemoonep3Okay, I know a lot of you hate this episode, but sorry, I LOVE it! Not because there's…
You are entitled to your opinion and I am entitled to mine. I had higher expectations for this series. In ep 3 no new ground for BLs was established. The writers chose the easy way out and went with the cheating scenario which has been used to a point of boredom. Yes people cheat but not all people cheat. All relationships come with challenges but it’s how we react to those bumps in the road that determine if that relationship will last or not. I know. I hope no one goes into a relationship with the expectation that it will fail. I have several BLs that took the high road and did not use the cheat ploy. Those I love to watch over and over. I will not rewatch this one. Again I respect your opinion. If you love it that’s great! Enjoy.
Have y'all seen Oab's IG? I'm not sure if people are being serious but he's getting harassing and hateful comments…
I agree. The actors are doing an awesome job. It’s the storyline and the direction of the series that I don’t like. Bottom line it’s fiction so no need to threaten or say hurtful things to the actors.
I am shook with this new episode! I read everyones comments and many people have made interesting commentary about…
Excellent analysis.....especially noticing the colors in the clothing. Aew’s future looks bright. He’s found his niche and life is good. He’s got a new car, great condo and supportive friends. On the other hand Teh is finding out that his dream of getting an Oscar is not as easy as he thought it would be. He’s always been overconfident. Remember it was Aew who the teacher picked when they were in middle school. Fast forward and he’s still getting overlooked. Yes, he’s attracted to Jai but he feels desperate to me and willing to do anything to get the part( in my day they called it the casting couch) He’s just one of many and he needs some kind of affirmation. Jai knows that and I feel has already started to exploit this. Now this scenario is realistic. You just landed a great position while your partner is sitting on a stack of rejection letters and no call backs. It’s starts to take a toll on the relationship. But and it’s a big but....the relationship can still work if you realize that your day is coming and you don’t do something stupid. Does Teh have the maturity to see that? Right now it looks like he’s jaded and see Jai as his brass ring.
Another outstanding bl is Life:Love on the Line (Directors cut) the movie. If you love BLs like I do but you’re looking for one that sets the bar high I invite you to give this a try. There is a character similar to Teh and one similar to Ohew. I have already watched it three times and will watch it again. It presents real challenges that same sex couples grapple with. I am rewatching ATale of aThousand Stars next. Then I think I’ll rewatch Dark Blue Kiss. ❤️
All the comments and analysis are so interesting. I wish I could be as objective as some of you are but I just can’t be. There are some things I have a very very low tolerance for and cheating is one of them. The first time I saw it was when I was around eight years old. By the way the couple stayed together. I didn’t find it amusing then and still don’t over 50 years later. I was fortunate I guess. My soulmate and I were married 50 years before he passed. We kept each other in check. I was never one to hold back . True love always won out. So there is hope for Teh and Ohew. I’ll find out in the spoilers because I just don’t have the heart to watch Ohew in pain and Teh and Jai in lust. Take care everyone.
I'm more frustrated than sad, to be honest. This show was trying hard fighting all the BL cliches and now... I…
That’s why I love Until We Meet Again and A Thousand Stars so much. There is still drama and a lot of emotion depicted but they did not resort to what you identified as BL cliches....no cheating, no female trying to “fix” one of the males, no sudden deadly accident, no problem with family members accepting the relationship.
I feel so sad for Ohew. Can you imagine watching your boyfriend kissing someone else like that. Yes Teh can play off like he was just playing a role but Ohew is not stupid. I just hope nothing bad happens to Ohew. I hope he just goes home and has a good cry. Then he should tell Teh what he saw and how he felt before giving Teh the boot. The happy ending will be Teh becoming the actor he wants to be and Ohew with someone who truly loves and respects him. Forget all that nonsense about being confused. You not in high school. You in your third year college. Teh not confused. This is who he is. If not Jai, it will be May, Mary, Dick and Harry down the road. I’ve made plenty of excuses for Teh. I’m done with Teh. Live your life Ohew.
At this point I’d like to see Ohew put on a pair of red heels and a flowing caftan and float into that workshop and knock the hell out of Teh...and on his way out the door give a twirl and let his bag smack Jai in the butt. Then I’d like to see him find that cutie who asked for his number and give him a whirl. I want to see Teh sitting somewhere in a corner sobbing like the wimp he has turned out to be. Hopefully he’ll see Jai with the next conquest and realize how stupid he was.
I get that people are angry at Teh but why are folks angry at the writers? The writer's aren't calling cheating…
You are entitled to your opinion and I am entitled to mine. I did not enjoy watching it at all.,I found it demeaning and insulting to the gay community. I did not find it the least bit entertaining and when I don’t like something I do what I need to do...I drop it! I could care less about the darn camera work or the music. It was the beautiful amazing storyline that offered so many wonderful opportunities to take the bl genre to a higher level. Instead they resorted to what’s been tried many times before to the point of upmost boredom and predictability.
What happens when you have a storyline and a script that is on the cusp of setting a higher standard for the bl genre? You get complacent and decide to dummy down. Ep 3 of I Promised You the Moon was a complete disaster. Whatever your intentions they were ruined. Apparently there will be no happy ending for Ohew and Teh as a couple. Whatever you do now will ring hollow. You obviously have no regard for true fans. As such apparently you see these two characters as being just two young flawed individuals with unrealistic views of love. It is your thinking that is flawed. At this point it would have been better if you didn’t even have a part 2 of ITSAY. You have ruined what could have been a Rembrandt. Now it’s just another paint by numbers cheap copy.
I was all set to crown you queen of bl screenwriters until I saw ep 3 of I Promised You The Moon. You took a confused character and made him a moron. The beautiful aesthetic qualities of this relationship have been completely ruined by the decision to take the low road and give us a cheating scenario. Was it too much to envision a gay couple having growing pains in their relationship and being able to work through them without interjecting a third party into the mix.
I think most people are losing the point that Jai activelly seduced and induced Teh to do that so that he would…
Oh wow as I was reading your analysis it reminded me of a person who was actually manipulated like Teh. She was going through a low point in her marriage and a person purposely set out to destroy the relationship. She was naive and vulnerable. There are some wicked people in the world. I always suspected Jai but I just felt Teh would be stronger.
