I rewatched the two episodes of today, and I had a funny thought about the fight scene between HY and HRF, I felt like she was batting an ant. it seems to me like she was goading him from the first instant, not just to lose his cool, but also to show how pathetic he is. I felt like she could have ended the fight early but she kept it to humiliate him more.

what I hated was the small times of episodes, the production team could add some more minutes to each episodes and give us more of our leads. I know that many were disappointed from today episodes with the fact that CZ were shown much more than our leads, especially now since the misunderstanding had been resolved and HY and XJ are working together, we could see more of them and maybe have their first kiss way before what is planed. for me what we saw was also important, because: - first we know the motivation behind each caracter, CZ is besotted with HY but I don't think he really love her, he is more in love with an ideal woman who is strong and can stand upright, it's what he hoped his mother had been before her death. he isn't above using HY for his gain, and every move of his is perfectly calculated, his not a selfless hero in love. far from it. we saw that his motivation is two folds, first he want a status for his mother, and revenge for what he and his mother had suffered; he isn't searching for justice, but for revenge. - HRF is a complicated caracter: he is suffering from an inferiority complex, feeling his lacking against a competent sister, whom he feel is beneath him; he is trying really hard to fill her shoes, but deep down he knows that he is lacking, so his solution is to tear her down in her presence, and absence. he is trying hard to show that he is better than her, but what he doesn't grasp is that HY had experienced real war, so her skills had been honed with real danger from war, not a small training session like him. he feels entitled since he is a male and the heir to his family, thinking that what HY had was based on family connection, and not real talent. and when faced with stronger person like XJ, he can't help himself feeling inferior, so he tries to show that he is the stronger and better than them. - Chanc Xu is another power hungry minister, who is trying to keep his power, and afraid that his secrets will be revealed, in fact he is the least complicated of all those villains, since he is shown as power hungry. what we had seen in today episodes is their motivations, so we can understand them and also follow our leads dealing with them
I got a weird idea when watching today episode, what if chanc Xu was chu zhao father. we know from the drama that his mother had him outside of marriage and the chu couple were his uncle and aunt (his mother brother from the names); so what if his mother got pregnant by chanc Xu, and all of his actions were to gather evidences so he could get his revenge against his father

I read many comments about that scene, but for me it was real, many viewers pointed out that it wasn't professional of her to let go of her sword and search frantically for XJ, but for me he is her breaking point, she can't lose him, she knows she loves him, he is one of the rare persons that understand everything about her and cares for her as a persons, losing him means that she lost everything that was why she let go at that time; she hadn't had the time to grieve her master or her old colleagues and with her seeing him hurt she just lost it
