I finished watching the five of them. It was my first time watching chinese dramas and really liked them. Thank you for this article!! I wanted to start General and I but the reviews are so harsh...
I really hated the last episodes, they were like torture, so much death and suffering, A character like Qi You didn't diserved that ending!! What I never understood was why, in fist place, Lian Cheng "killed" Fu Ya's father???
This ending felt so much like the one in the korean drama Faith. Really... Why couldn't you add a hug at least? His face was like he was dying for her...
I truly loved this drama. Excellent story, setting, music and performance, loved the Wallace-Shishi pair, and expect to see them together in another drama!!
There are so many things that bother me about this drama...
So Zhang Xiao ended up dying AGAIN without seeing Yin Zheng for the last time, because he was in prison at the time, she can only see him in her dreams. Really? Was it so difficult to give as a happy ending? ¬¬
First episode, Zhang Xiao watching herself at Scarlet 1 through the tv was unnecessary. They would not have put anything, and it would have been better.
Zhang Xiao's past memories: It was so confusing, at first she seemed to recognize each of the reincarnations but it was not so with Ruo Lan, denying the fact that she remembered her past memories and the ending of the fist season as well, where she clearly has all of them and recognizes having existed there.
Despite the low score and all the negative comments, I decided to watch it to see what had happened once she returned to her world. It was a complete disappointment. They completely ruined a story with great potential, they left aside the central point which was why we all look at this second season. The first and last episode were the most confusing I've seen in a drama. The script was horrible. I think the only thing that could be rescued was the early love relationship of Kang Si Han and some scenes between Yin Zheng and Zhang Xiao. So frustrating!!
It's a very sad story, even more if you read the true one. They never had children and he later married with Myung Hye ¬¬ Wonderful performance the one by Lee Dong Gun The ost was heartbreaking.
Honestly I just watched it because it was on tv, but I have to say that I enjoyed I Need Romance 2 a thousand times more that this one. It's a good drama to spend free time, but nothing more. 7/10 for me
I really enjoyed this drama, I don't know why such low rating, for that, It had been in my To watch list for so long. I really expected something worse. Good to see Kim Ji Han again here, I loved him in Empress Ki
I love this drama!! It was very touching, deep and beautiful, the sinopsis catched my eyes instantly. I tend to think that the short shows that have just a few couple of episodes aren't as good as the longer ones, but I was really surprised with this one. The script was splendid, as was the acting, specially Jang Na Ra. Without doubt one of my favourite dramas of all times. 10 points!!
I'm not convinced with the ending. I liked them as a trio, and I liked both couples. But I think it was Eun San's fault, did she love them as friends or did she love both of them romantically? She never choosed actually, yes she ended up with Rin, because both ended up alone and Won was wed. But the look in San's eyes as she left in the final episode... All was so frustating because neither San or Won could let go of each either for good, I feel so bad for him. And after that, the fact that Won left for "Yuan" for ten years, and the picture he left, I suspected that in reality he went to find them because he couldn't endured it anymore.
It would have been nice to see how Choi Yeong's life was after she left, his point of view, at less some more scenes ¬¬
Also, the fact that they used the poison thing twice on her really bothered me hahah
I have a question too, about How on earth did the Yuan Envoy to have a silver pocket watch??
Did his great grandfather took it from Yoo Eun Soo's future self in the past past time or sthing like that?
It started too lightly, I almost drop it, but then picked up the pace. I really liked the story, the relationship between the two protagonist was very lovely and the one thing that I rescued the most of this drama. The fact that some of the characters and events existed in real life is also one of the most exciting points.
The acting was very good, the chemistry between the leads was wonderful.
I really recommend you to look out for the OST, it has some wonderful songs.
It's a real pity the poor scenery, staging and costumes; as well as the terrible effects and video editing. This could have been an excellent drama if it wasn't for that, but well, that didn't stopped me from watching it.
Best performance: Emperor Hui Zhong
Best couple: Ki Nyang & Wang Yoo
Favorite actor: Tal Tal ♥
Amazing drama!! Beautiful performances and OST!! I loved it even though I didn't like the ending, I wanted at least someone to end happily. The story was too tragic, my heart broke with every death... Wang Yoo, Maha, Tal Tal...
Nyang was a very stubborn, harsh and intense woman. She resigned to her first love for revenge. I don't know how she could resigned to Maha or forgive the emperor after killing Wang Yoo.
It bothered me the way she treathed Maha's case. Also the way their friends lied to them, I see their point and context, but all those years... The poor boy died without knowing anything.
I really adored this drama. I don't know why I didn't watch it before.
The story was well developed and the OST was simply amazing.
Didn't like Han Ga In's acting at all, she was somewhat emotionless. She wasn't compatible with Kim Soo Hyun. It would have been amazing with another actress.
Kim Soo Hyun and Jung Il Woo were wonderful, as well as the main child leads (didn't noticed before that she actually was the girl of Love in the Moonlight).
These ones are amazing
The script, cast and ost were excellent
