So many things wrong with this movie. The thing is I could actually have lived with this loser like American version of Light if the execution hadn't been so horribly bad. I could have lived with a story completely different from the manga if they would just care more about the characters they write and make a story at least near as interesting as the original.
Several problems I had with the movie
American Light is near to no where near the Japanese Light's character so why give him the same name? Change the name and that way it would be as if Ryuk just left the Death Note somewhere else in the world.
Also I felt that American Light's character was inconsistent or maybe just hard to understand.
He's hoping that Mia won't take the Death Note, buuuut just in case she does he already planned out her death. Then he's freaks out because she takes the Death Note and he already put her name in the Death Note. So like why even offer her the chance to get the book in the first place? His Death Note actions make it look like he already knew she was going to take it and he used that to his advantage to fool the police into thinking he wasn't Kira after all. But all his whimpering and crying makes it look like he whished he hadn't put her name in after all. It is as if the writers had a story but then wanted to change Light into a moral guy and then forgot to change some of his actions to match his new character.
Then there is L. When L finally entered the picture I was like "okay he's a decent L I watch this untill the end". But all of a sudden L goes from being a kinda cold guy/candy addict super genius guy to this super emotional guy ready kill Kira out of spite instead of doing his job and just catch Kira. If L is so smart and cares soooo much about Watanabe why didn't he give him a code name and a mask too or something? Again his character is inconsistent.
ALSO WTF? "Kira kinda means killer in japanese" YOU SUPPOSED TO BE CLEVER LIGHT WHY YOU SAY STUPID STUFF THAT AIN'T TRUE?!
There are few actors i really dispise in KDRAMA. This guy one of them along with ha ji won. Both are posers in…
I don't get your rant. This isn't labelled as an action or wu xia drama and the fighting isn't even that important to the story so why does the fighting scenes have to be exceptional? That said I'm possitive that lee junki could pull off a decent choreo if he got one (well decent for me at least)
And why doesn't this vamp stab everyone like the guy you mentioned in my beautiful bride? because he is really only interested in killing the other vamp who is supposed to be the stronger one so obviously a little difficult to just stab.
And don't be rude. There is no problem with Victoria. If you think she has low expectations that is that but that does not mean that there is a problem with her.
I get you don't think he merits being labelled and "action actor" or whatever that's your opinion and it's all about expectation and standard so fine by me. But chill man no one said he's some bruce lee or anything.
I began watching this one many years ago actually (like A LOT of years ago) and it was so funny I thought to myself I had to wait and not watch it all in one go because it would be a shame to finish it too quickly. So I waited... And then I forgot about it... But thanks to this article it's on my to watch list xD! Probably have to start over from the beginning now though....
Is this drama worth watching?? Btw.. she did it with all of her husbands friends?? O.O
um the husband kinda forces his friends to donate their sperm but she doesn't actually know so... nope xD It might sound like a really weird drama already and it IS kinda different from the usual ones but I say it's worth watching it's really funny and it's still one of my favorites :D!
