The only thing missing would have been tying Khem's past life further back than the little girl ... would have been an epic reveal if Khem's soul wentback as far as being the son of the mountain god that was killed ... which would have tied him and Peem together for over 1000 years.
The way I rushed to watch each episode .... and the first couple's HEA made sense. But without a proper HEA for GT and SWL, this series is incomplete. Author says there may be a season 2 depending on the response to the finale ... I hope that means the anger at the ending will translate to more episodes ... the sooner the better. Because if you're going to promote the actors as "Desire 4" then we need the full story for both couples.
Really enjoyed this series up until the final 10 minutes. I just don't understand why so many Cdramas end in main character deaths. Is no one allowed a happy ending?
Parn and Nani are good in this ... nice choice for the leads with a comedic spin .... but Prem is the standout for me. His villain-like scene was off the charts. Let him have an emotional arc in everything he does, but he needs to play more confident roles from now on.
First has said he's wanted to play a villain for a while ... so glad he got his chance. Would like to see him go full villain in something else, but he did great in this.
tried this when it first came out and stopped halfway through ep 1 because of the awful auto-translations. Looks like there are real translations now. I watched all 6 eps, and while their does seem to be an interesting story at the center ... this was basic fluff. Great if that's what you're looking for. Skip it if you're not.

The two wives seem to be fine with each other as far as I can see, even living in the same house. Both of the sons call each of them Mom. Surprised since the Major wife seems to be very high strung.
If you look up Major/Minor wives you'll see it has a long history in Thailand though society seems to be moving away from it.
What exactly is the family connection of Knight and Per? I know they are brothers with same father and different…
Thailand has a Major/Minor wife arrangement similar to the Wife/Concubine tradition in the rest of Asia or "Sister Wives" situation here in the US. First wife is the legal wife with public recognition .... and the additional wives get commitment paperwork, security, and benefits that are just as legally binding, but aren't recognized publicly as legal wives.

I think he did love him, but he hated him more at the end ... for the broken promises, for the death of his people, and especially for the actions that led to Shuhe becoming emperor in the first place. He knew his brother was wrong, but still hoped he could convince the Crown Prince that he truly had no interest in the throne. And then everything happened and Shuhe found himself in the one place he tried to avoid his whole life ... then failing at it. It was a lot of get over ... especially when ZiAng's brother was adding to insult behind ZiAng's back.
I think the afterlife scene was to show that he would be able to finally let that go and just keep the love .... based on how his brother met him without his paranoia and greed, just the love and joy of brothers.
They did a lot with so little .... I'm really impressed.
But the last few episodes made it obvious that they were both doomed. Zi Ang was too blindly obsessed and Shu He was never going to forgive. His last moments were dedicated to giving ZiAng everything he wanted just to rip it away less than 24 hours later. The short scene of happiness in the afterlife doesn't make this an HEA for me. :-(
Really wish we could get away from these types of endings.
If I put myself in the shoes of mud...and I see my male friend with my sister like that in a room.. I'd definitely…
100% agree on all that .... it's just a disjointed plot with bad direction.
The only thing, and I've seen this a lot about Mild being a minor so it's a crime .... Mild and Knight were both minors at the time. They are 2 years apart in age ... with Knight being in 11th grade and Mild being in 9th grade.
Kan seems to be the oldest .... he's in his 6th year (out of 7) of med schoolPer is next, I think in 4th year…
Per's mother doesn't seem to be the type to share ... especially with Knight's mom encouraging Per to go against her commands. I don't know if the book goes into more detail but we're left to wonder here in the series.

It was new to me until I saw The Bangkok Boy .... it was touched on in there and I found it fascinating. Based on what I found, it isn't practiced as much these days but is still a thing.
Okay I am confused. How old are these characters ? Up till now I was thinking Mild is in first year of his graduation…

Per is next, I think in 4th year unless his specific engineering major goes beyond the normal 4 years ... and his mother is the Major wife of the dad
Knight and Mud are in 4th year ... with Knight's mom being the Minor wife of the dad (which is Thailand's version of a concubine. Legally protected, accepted as a spouse but not the legal wife on record.) That is why the Dad, both wives, and Knight all live in the same house. I'm guessing Per moved out because of household drama, but we are never told why)

Mild, Tum, and Klah are all 2nd years.
