I confess I thought Dong Ju wouldn't make it after this last episode, got beaten, stabbed, jumped from a truck, got run over by a car, drugged but still there.
They sure are living up to the "national heroes" title they got, but they are living up a little too much, it feels like it stopped being a "investigative" drama about the good guys chasing a villain and is starting to look like more a superhero type of thing, it's being too focused on the cat chasing the mouse premise and only on that.
We've only catched a glimpse of their backstory and traumas and nothing else is getting explained or being developed like the relation between Jong Hyeon and his brother, Han Na and her mother or Man Sik and his family.
We have seen potential on the backstory of a few characters one of them being Yeon Ha the "Drug Lord" and the girl who gave her the ribbon, on Jong Hyeon family, even around Han Na father who will be probably referred later on.
But to summarize it feels like the drama is lacking other aspects and it has the potential to work on those aspects but the action on it is taking a huge chunk of screen time and it feels like all those other aspects will be rushed on the end or not worked on.
Besides that, I'm loving it together with "Head Over Heels" this 2025.
The way Gyeon U discovered that Seong A is a shaman was pretty forced this last episode, a prank from the Archery Club to a haunted place where people recently disappeared and others died just when Seong A was doing a ritual with someone she didn't know and without her mask? the plot flow went far away from natural.
How's it? I am looking for something to watch with friends.
It's amazing! the cast is perfect, each one has a well fit personality, romance on point (doesn't interfere too much with the story), effects are not exaggerated, and the drama... the drama on it is so good!
