Trash ass show, they had a golden oppurtunity eith the general plot but they took another direction, this show has a lot of problems. Suzy's acting is a big one. Im not gonna blame the awfulness of the show entirely on her, (this might be how her character was written)but she is bland as hell. She is 2d and the script dosent convey any of her feelings or motives. When the script is limited, it is upon the actor to potray their innerworkings through expressions, mainly eyes. Whenever i looked at suzy, i never felt like she was lee anna, so i beleive she failed in that aspect.Also, never felt sympathy for her even if i was trying hard to do so, her personality was bland af (Shes really pretty however, she has very unique features that diffrentiates her from the other actresses in the kdrama world).
Useless side characters is another one, i understand giving the side charavters the job to be catalysts to the story, but they killed hyun joo real fast, they couldve used her to create tension in the show, the last episodes became exceptionally lackluster and kinda confusing, because there was no driving force to them. None of the characters were charming, their "logical" course of action made no sense at times, their motives were never well established, the metaphors like the buck or deer were not corporated well either, this felt rushed and like a rookie project with a really big production for some reason, the only thing this show elicited from me, was the obsessive need to buy a fake chanel tweed jacket, cuz they go hard lmao. 4/10.
