I noticed that you keep mentioning in your arguments that Yumi is a 32 year-old character with nothing going on…
I said all of it because as human beings we shouldnt really seek for relationships, only when we are feeling lonely and desperate. If 100 percent of your hapiness emnates from you being in a relationship, then i beleive you cant be on your own, which in my subjective opinion is a characterstic of a weak minded human being (yes, ive been raised to think that reliance is trait of the weak).
Her wanting to get married and wanting to settle down dosent make her languish and i never said that lol. In my opinion, an individual gets married or starts dating, to share their(pre-existing)happiness with their partner and yumi wants a relationship, only to get away from her monotomous life instead of finding hapiness from herself first or fixing her anxiety and other issues. It seems like you really interpreted that on your own. To make it short, her unambitiousness is such an unattractive look(atleast in my opinion). I love webtoon/manhwas and i hope this drama does the manhwa justice but since its a kdrama its never gonna be good enough.

Never said that she was weak. I totally beleive that women who aspire to start a family of their own have their own set of struggles, goals and objectives. We all are layered, even if you dont think so!
unrelatable is not it. if u don't like it, just watch any cliché romance dramas out there. this drama is clearly…
Girly, i did watch the show and please not loving what you do is gonna burn you out in the real world. Its is unrealistic af and please dont bring up the artist settling tor something else argument because it very specific and most artists are demotivated by their families which is why they settle for cotporate. Yumi is not an artist lol. The only thing this drama focuses on is her love life which makes it boring in the long run. Also, Did you just copy your other answer to this one? That is just so weird lol
Also, they do provide a conflict which is that her crush is gay but then pass by it like lighting mcqueen and introduce the main male lead. We never get to see yumi's thought process during that. Like there is a conflict but it gets solved in the same episode. Thats is bad writing and i really dont think you can say otherwise lol
The thing is these aspects of her thinking are not elonquently showed in the drama. It is only upon analysis you can make something out of her apprehensivness. So, its really telling that they tried to replicate women nowdays without giving yumi a basis for her thinking like that.Again, it exentuates the bad character writing of this show. Plus, they prolly arent gonna delve into the root of her anxiety and self conciousness because it is a kdrama at the end of the day.

Yeah, she is working but working towards what? Substenance?. Is that her only purpose because it seems like it. She dosent like working and she is always seeming to get away. It really shows that she isnt loving what she does for a living. There is nothing wrong with being a hopeless romantic but when romance becomes your only outlet of hapiness is where it gets wrong. She is 32 and other than getting married she dosent look forward to anything else in her life. Please dont think that every show has to have an aspect to it that is subconciously empowering women, its just that the characters should seem real and have 3 dimensional facets to them. Can you tell me 5 things about yumi that makes her distinguishable as a protagonist? No, right. Me neither and thats where bad writing can be foreshadowed. Who told you to assume i dont read manhwas lol, why tf are you so passive agressive. Im just giving contructive criticism to this show. Learn to accept other sides of the spectrum if you cant provide good propositions lol.

She literally dosent have any objective in life, only thing that interests her are dudes and thats it. She cant be happy by herself or find happiness in anything else, a weak character indeed. She dosent have any personality aswell and also, search the defination of 2 dimensional lol.
