I've watched a lot of K-dramas that I've lost count but sincerely, no drama makes me feel extremely good like Reply 1988. I've watched all of the Reply series but they couldn't top it. I think Reply 1988 was made for people who want to go back to those days, the days of their childhood, days when everything was still simple and modest. I do want to spend just one day as a child and bask in the pure joy and innocence and Reply 1988 made me want to do it.
If you ask me to list the best Korean dramas ever, I would start with Reply 1988 for sure!!

I'm aware you have the right to share your opinion whether we agree with it or not. But remember that, you're opinion cannot govern the ratings here. The folks who rated it high had a good and personal reason for it. So as much like you'll like to express how you feel about this drama, let others who rate it high or love it, love it.

If a drama is overhyped, it's what you think about it. If a drama is underrated, it's still on what you think. Overhyping to me means a majority of the watchers actually likes the drama which is not their fault. That's what they like, quality or not.

The fact that I could not recognize him for this long shows that he is indeed quite versatile.
