I love characters development on this show. I love TXM to death but i’m also very impressed with HHL’s character. She has always been prideful, ambitious and selfish, and all her actions really supported her character well. She knows the consequences of her action but can’t bare to let go of XCS due to her pride. The actress who play HHL did a very good job portraying her, esp the scene when she miscarried her baby, her expression is what i def what i expected from HHL. She doesn’t love YGH and never meant to hurt her baby. It also showed that she had never opened herself up and view YGH as her spouse. All the actors and actress did a very good job with their characters on this show, i really enjoy it.

I watched both and enjoyed both. But Legally Romance is just going down hill for me. The first half of the drama is interesting and fun but the second half is too cliché and easy to guess. But OOL is quite opposite, first 6-10 episodes were slow but after the 10th that’s when the show becomes better, with the strong ties of family theme and how relatable it is, i think Ool is just more memorable.

It’s tough on her too. It’s her first relationship, and after all she is not equal to him in all aspects; she is younger, inexperienced, immature, even career wise she is not there yet, still a student and unsure about the future, therefore she has very low self confidence . When things happen suddenly, the first thing she would do is to question herself and that leads to insecurities and wild imagination of what could’ve happened, the thought of sth happened at work is a low possibility since all she sees is that he is a capable doctor with a stable career. I’m sure when she finds out everything, she blames herself even more which leads to the anger hence her reaction to ML. If she is Gao Xi, maybe her reaction will be different as GW and her is in the same footing, but as you can see, what he needs isnt that, FL strong reaction snap sense into him letting him know that he has people who cares for him and he can rely on, that he needs to communicate.

Sorry, as a person who experienced my husband not telling me he got laid off and lied to me for weeks I can understand LZX’s anger and behavior. Honestly speaking, at that time, I just feel like he didn’t trust me at all and that I am not reliable enough for him to lean on and that I felt like a failure as a wife. I don’t think I even considered things in his POV until after I blew my steam. For people to say FM is inconsiderate and expect her to be more understanding is a bit unrealistic in my opinion, she is human and just at that moment she can’t bottle up her feelings, spill out her true thoughts and her action does kick some sense into the ML :))

Seriously, i thought that Yang Zi is skinny already but i kept seeing antis body shamming her and calling her fat. Body standard in Cbiz is quite unhealthy

I had the same opinion. I remember the first time i saw the trailer, i thought his acting was awkward but watching the whole drama, it’s not that his acting is awkward but rather the character. I have to praise his acting, i rewatch some of the cuts from the first few episodes to now, i can see how far Gu Wei had changed and how XZ portrayed it so naturally. I think one of his advantage and also disadvantage is his look. Because he is so good looking, often time people just forget about his acting and focus more on his outer appearance. XZ is a raw gem that need polishing i can see how he put soul into each character he played, leave lasting impression and at this rate i’m sure he will only be better and better.

Each person react differently in the same situation due to various reasons including their personality, stress level, mental stability and ect. Just because you think you won’t react the same way as her, doesn’t give you the right to belittle her reactions. I have friends who would cry over ever little things but it is definitely not my place to judge them since that’s how they feel and that’s who they are, it needs to be respected, same as female lead. In the drama situation, does it actually get worse or it work for the better?

I actually admired her for being dignified despite the rejection until she call Chris lol, poor Chris-the rebound guy!!

I agreed 100 percent on the medical part! I really can’t understand why FM would even consider that option. According to the drama Gu Wei is a renowned doctor and he is the one who found out about the cancer, did the surgery himself and save her dad’s stomach, and that her dad is recovering well. What is going on with her brain that she can doubt Gu Wei as a doctor and listen to a violist who has no expertise in medicine? She lets her emotions runs wild and affect her logical reasonings, i have seen many people doubting doctors and listen to quack like that so it really annoys me.

Yea, many people just doesn’t understand how it feel having a very strict and traditional parents. I’ve had 9pm curfew until I got married, never been to prom, homecoming, and don’t even think abt moving out before marriage cuz it is forbidden!!! :))))

I’ve already watched 11-12, i was thinking about 13-14 or just wait until 15-16 to come out

Well, honestly if you don’t like the drama why are you here most of the day to comment? I’m not attacking you here and it’s true that ppl are free to express their opinions, but if you already express your dislike why bother coming back to this everyday? Just because others don’t agree with you? You can just move on and watch another drama that you like right? Isn’t this a waste of time?

I’m telling you, the part when he turns around, smiles n say good morning to LZX, omg i felt like my nose would bleed!!! And those parts when he smiles while thinking of her, so cute. He needs to STOP, I can’t scream in the public lol

I like Business Proposal too!!! I’m watching both right now actually, and they are quite opposite. One is more entertaining, unrealistic but charming, the other is more slow pace and relatable. Visual wise too, business proposals is beautiful, all the characters are high fashion, but Ool visual and fashion is something i can see on regular days around me (not that i can see a guy who is as good looking as XZ lol) which give me more of a calming vibe. Chemistry in Ool is not just about the look, it’s about the conversation they have and process of how they come understand each other and i think it is beautiful. But i get you points though, drama are made for entertainment purposes and everyone have their own opinions and ideas when it come to what they like to watch. My sister says the same thing too “i’ll wait for his xanxia’s drama” haha

I don’t like romance and rom com but i like this drama so far. I like how it is light, and very slide of life, and i find myself waiting for the next episodes. I however do agree with some reviews here that some aspects of the show are outdated, and i do find myself annoyed with the close up shots, but i can overlook those since it was filmed in 2019. As for the storyline, not bad but need some polishing here and there, or maybe just the cutting is bad, which happens quite often with c-drama. Acting wise, i find it good but not spectacular, since i watched Ace and was impressed with XZ’s performance, this role is good ( don’t take me in a wrong way, i love XZ’s Gu Wei) but i think it is still a bit short for me, after all this role is before Ace anyway. Yang Zi I don’t have much to say since i only watch one of her drama.

Now for the positive, i found this drama really relatable especially the family dynamic since my family is also very strict, and i also do have episodes of “rebelling” like the fm lead so yes i do feel her!! I also love the love line since it’s realistic, it might be slow and bland to some but to me, I believe love come slowly and courting should be subtle. That’s why I don’t like typical romance where they just went crazy for a love at first sight stuff lol or rich boy poor girl type :)) in the end i just want to say I enjoyed the show more than expected and I hope that ppl will judge the show more fairly!

Even though I like XZ as well but i am very skeptical about all the praises about his acting from the fandom, therefore I often go out of my way to read reviews from others and watch it myself. And in the end, i think it is best to experience it and be the judge yourself

True! I want to like GL very much but the way this character is written is plain illogical. I haven’t seen any of his actions that could justify all the praises that the high rank soldiers had given him. All i see is favoritism out of no where, for no good reason without any backing evidences. His actions and speeches contradicted each other most of the time, like ohh I’m gonna take the blame for you guys cuz i have to take responsibility for my action and i will protect everyone, but it’s completely ok for me to sabotage my comrade’s relationship for my own benefit so on n so on. GYY may come off as arrogant but his arrogant comes from his own hard-work and talents, he values friendship and his comrades, he has a goal that he thrives for and he has not strayed away from it. He did everything honorable, no underhand tactics, no favoritisms. So for me, i find GYY more relatable and in a more favorable light; strictly
speaking as a character not because he is played by XZ.
