First few episodes, i find GL likeable, but the recent episodes he really gets on my nerve, maybe it’s just the way that they are trying to hype him up to become that “hero” in the story? It is quite upsetting to see the higher up favoring GL just because comparing to GYY, he is less fortunate!? And how he keeps getting in the way of the FL and GYY, even though he knew they like each other. I know that he will eventually get together w FL but these tactics are so uncool and quite unacceptable in my POV. Hopefully i can see more positive changes later on.

Things only gets better after ep 13-15. I cringed past and it sure worth it

If you expect this drama to follow tightly to the plot in the Novel and Donghua then maybe this is not for you. But if you are open minded enough then this adaptation is pretty decent. I do like the Tang San in this version. Since he is not time traveling, it is unrealistic to expect him to behave like how he is in the donghua/ novel, but his core character is definitely there. Acting wise, Xiao Zhan makes lots of improvement from The Untamed, he is very natural and I like how he portrays the crying scene a lot. But he needs to work on his surprise and scared emotions, it can be quite exaggerated and grinch worthy. Female lead Xiao Wu is surprisingly good, i have always find Xiao Wu to be very annoying and childish at the beginning of the Novel/ Donghua so i think her acting is on point. Chemistry between the leads is there.CGI is better than most C-Drama. My one complain is actually about the Master Xiao Gang, but we will see how his character develops in the future episodes. For now, i will give it a 8/10
