Overall story is good but I find it a bit slow for the second half of the story. Also, I find Suying's motive for her hostility toward Tianyao to be ungrounded. I get she wants to get the dragon scale for the guy she loves, but this plus being provoked by that old guy (Ling xiao's master, i forgot his name) doesn't add up to the amount of hatred she had to Tianyao.
I actually love this drama. It was a pleasant surprise for me and this is my first drama with both leads. Love the visuals and Ao Ruipeng suits the styling really well, he looks gorgeous. I do find it a bit difficult to get hooked at the beginning before I find it to be interesting. It takes some episodes to get me hooked into the story. I love that the lead couple has very good communication. They would communicate before misunderstanding could happen, which is a pleasant surprise in not just Xianxia but any drama. I also love the character of the people around Fan Yue. I also love that the main lead got their happy ending.
I just dont really like the fact that literally everyone who matters aside from main couple end up dead. I get that some of their death is probably necessary for the story but this would be a feel good drama if not as many people died in the end.
I would say this is a good drama, but not wow. The main leads are good. Loved the story and how the FL is smart. Tbh, I decided to start watching this one after seeing Li Yun Rui in white hair on the Netflix thumbnail for this drama. So, I'm kinda disappointed to see him with that hair only in few scenes. He looks damn gorgeous in that long white hair. Its my bad that I watched this right after finishing TPOB. So, I find this one a bit slow paced. But it is still one of the good ones.
I love this drama. Found this on netflix after failing to find anything I can enjoy after Prisoner of Beauty. Its my first drama with both main leads. Ended up binge watching this beautiful piece. I love the romance between the main leads and the visual of the drama as well.
I love how the relationship between Ming Yi and the princess Tian Ji developed. Also loved how Tian Ji character developed. She started off a bit cliche annoying to being one of the sweetest person... with brain.
I also love love love the bond between Ming Yi and 27. Its the cutest. I cried a bucket when 27 dies for Ming Yi (later resurrected, calm down, he doesn't die permanently for anyone wondering).
Situ Ling is the ultimate sad boy, I find him so annoying, I'm sorry to anyone who disagrees. I skipped his part the moment he starts saying 'jie jie'
Hands down the best cdrama in 2025. Started watching without expectation after a long break from cdrama and it surprised me in many ways. The direction, cinematography and acting are superb! Song Zu Er really knows how to do those teary eyed conversation. And Liu Yu Ning looks extra hot in this one, like i finally get the hype for him.
