I know people are going to find this comment controversial but I thought they did one thing right. Lichen staying with his friend after being drugged and making sure he was okay despite it being potentially embarrassing. These drugs could trigger powerful arousal and Mu Ren could have passed out and drowned but Licheng stayed and didn’t take advantage of his friend. Now that’s real friendship Also allowing their friend to talk without saying anything even if he was blaming himself is actually the best therapy there. For anyone who is traumatized they don’t want to told it’s not their fault or that they shouldn’t blame themselves. Instinctively they know this - they just need to talk and put the words out there. And the best thing friends cud do is just listen which these two did. So bravo. I also don’t hate Yongie but I stand by my initial thought that he needs therapy. Not only for what he did to his brother but what he is experiencing in life in general. He is a loaded gun waiting to go off and nope - holding hands is not going to fix his issues. I’m hopping the drama will address that in the end.
I agree with all the comments. The actors / acting is so good - esp GSD (Sam Lin) His insecurity is shown in such subtle facial expressions but on the other hand his raw emotions and heart break is also there. I can’t get enough of looking at his acting. Even YU - you share his happiness and his pain just by looking at his face.. amazing! On the other hand - dumbest move in the universe to take away the sweet convo btwn the two leads after they discover the email saga and instead show the office workers eating and sleeping. Seriously? It’s not like this is a Chinese production and there is censorship so why would a BL take away moments of the main couple and replace it with rubbish? I can’t ... I just cant ...
I don’t understand the hate for this show especially ppl wanting SY to dump GSD. If I calculate correctly both are close to 30 so I’m hoping they will handle this more maturely and stay together. And don’t forget that SY is also to blame. He went all the way to the US .... yes all the way on a 20 hr flight and turned back without confronting GSD. I mean seriously? Who does that? Anyway I’m still waiting for the extra part where GSD explains the blond girl story which is on WeTV without English subs. It’s driving me nuts not to have it translated. Very well said. Noble idiocy is never good but when it breaks another’s spirit it’s use beyond wrong. Broken hearts can mend but not this. Sadly because it was so funny and cute at the beginning - I was so caught off guard and it literally traumatized me. I also like Jasper liue although he does look so young sometimes I forget his real age and really hope this take a diff direction
For the first time in the history of BL we had just the one couple instead of multiple characters falling in love with each other all over the place and wondering if we are in the same universe Awesome drama.
Clean with a passion now had an awesome start and the chemistry between the leads was great but then it got very dark at the end, with a lot of noble idiocy (where one does something ‘for the good of the other’ without talking things over) and it was quite triggering and traumatizing. The end while happy had too much sadness in its back ground to compensate and was rushed. I really hope this version would not make that same mistake.
I watched the preview of ep 5 (or 7,8 depending on where thou are watching) and net is going to blow up again. I don’t know - it seems it’s going to be triggering for most viewers based on what will happen with both couples.

Maybe there were undertones of attraction but I don’t think he ever expected to act on it and his heartbreak and distress and tears made it definitely non consensual.
