Oh my. This series is turning out kinda good. Ep2 and I can already imagine all the possible twists and turns. I hope the momentum continues and they expand upon the story strong enuff. And the concept of karma as a side story was chef's kiss. Absolutely great story telling, setting up for a bigger story line, I'm sure. And the khaki dressed dude... this is gonna be spicy. Ive not read the novel so this is based purely on the show thus far.
Finally watched it on Netflix (Singapore) and I gotta say, this remake was much more hilarious. The OG Taiwanese version was a tiny bit more serious but I love both of it! And the post credit scene do hint of it maybe ending a little diff, altho I think they purely added it in for the fans. The improv of Bilkin in the bloopers is freaking amazing too! I def cried again at the emotional parts, similar to when i watched the OG version. It hit me on so many levels, especially since growing up in a Chinese-dominated and Asian country, I related to the struggles so much. Freaking amazing remake! Watch the OG version too!
Honestly, i loved it so much! The twist and turns, and you could feel the ardous journey that they had to endure to be tgt. Steamy action was absolutely not necessary! I wish more Thai BL shows had the plot finesse like this. GMMTV, pls do shows like these...

Gosh. This series is not worth your time. Terrible acting, horrendous run time, plot doesn't make sense in the least, and most importantly, ITS NOT A TAIWANESE BL SERIES. Most of the actors are speaking in a mainland Chinese accent and its very different from the Taiwanese accent. Dropped after 3mins into episode 1. Lets not support mediocrity. We do not want or need such shows in the BL community.
This is an absolute gem. Amazing plot, deep characters, great acting, intricate emotions from start to end with many highs and lows, and overall, one of the best in 2024 thus far. Wish that they would delve into the backstory of XY but that would be a whole seperate arc and series tho. S2 maybe?
10/10 and I can only wish that half of all the BLs out there could try to aim for 50 to 70% of what this show has achieved. ❤️
