Huh? What do you mean? Personally POJ is on another level for me..in it the FL is damn near OP and really powerful, but also sweet, in GTG she catches on early that he's hiding his identity compared to POJ where she finds out a whole lot later, in Poj she risks everything to go to war to save him and in GTG she gives up everything to free him. Both have ensemble of cast and grievances of previous generation. Xie Zheng is more tender, emotionally expressive (later on ofc), while Mu Qingyan is manipulating & scheming to get her, he's a bit unhinged too (but it's delicious to watch)

FL hides her identity, still watching so not sure if ML turns into the patheticly unhinged character who'd go lengths for her and an FL who knows about his crazy plans but still plays along cuz she loves him sm. I love this dynamic so much!! Did you find any other with similar vibes?

So basically they had always suspected that the man in black might be from the righteous sect side and one with really high cultivation, and there were 6 sects many leaders were already killed near the end so only master qi's sect remained the most powerful and he (Qi) was the leader, they kept their suspicions to Master Li because they were unable to accept their master being him. Also you can feel someone's aura/ sword energy/ magic while fighting with them, which is distinctive for every person and that's how they knew...also Mu Qingyan poisons him near the end so he did show some effects of that.

I'm at ep 17, and it's going soo good however I've heard that it goes downhill after that (🤞 hope that doesn't happen) soo I'm guessing maybe he'd find out about her being a spy and then retaliating harshly only to later realise that she has been poisoned and coerced to do the things- maybe she does poison [redacted] and he finds out?

Oh I've watched Generation to Generation tho, it's kinda fun cuz after watching Youthful Glory by Bao Shengen, GTG felt soo much better tho the plot wasn't much to speak of, but I do like unhinged characters! Yeah Ive put the best thing on hold for that reason.. it'll be a palate cleanser after a heavy drama. Also princess gambit's vibes are also immaculate. How dare you? It is hilarious and strikingly gorgeous but hasn't hooked me after the 5 eps...

This was good! Although the mastermind was easy to guess, but Mu Qingyan being unhinged was the entire plot for me 😂 the way he was always being the green tea and trying to latch on Zhao was hilarious! I really liked how both the characters are actually seen falling in love with each other, yearning and denying those feelings 🤌I am so not over this show 😅
I need something similar to this!!

This was one of my fav Historical drama! Like the cinematography, editing and everything was just gorgeous. The only drawback was the last battle which was really perilous in the book, and our characters had to fight tooth & nail to win however in the show it was just rushed past... For me the show started falling after 32+ episodes and the previous ones hit really hard in a good way.
