i watched it too, i'm still not sure how i feel about it. it's undoubtedly an excellently produced drama and all the actors did an amazing job, i just don't know how to relate to their relationship. not just as a dude but as someone who doesn't really understand how to navigate friendships in general. i just felt like an outsider awkwardly watching in the corner 😪 makes me wonder if that was even a little bit intentional from the writer/durector

i don't think it's confirmed but the way thongfah portrayed jane definitely seems like she is on the spectrum

imply what? na literally slept with leemhai TWICE. it doesn't have to end with them in a relationship for it to be considered a gl, yall gotta stop changing the goalpost for what is and isn't queerbait. by the end it's clear that na is bi and it even hints that after 6 months she's ready for a committed relationship with leemhai

the bi issue i mentioned: whenever lin talks about kate cheating, she always says "she cheated on me with a man" as if it would've been better if she had cheated with a woman

those were the issues i could remember, it was honestly a pretty forgettable drama overall. i didn't read the novel so idk what the differences were

i think it's a thing with thailand in general, idk about BLs but having watched 30+ GLs it feels like they like to pretend bi people don't exist. my safe zone was the most recent and most obvious example. i won't provide spoilers but it was kinda egregious, one of multiple issues i had with the writing in my safe zone

my personal opinion: one of if not the best writing i had seen in any kdramas in 2024. Hopefully season 2 can keep that level without nam ji-hyun

i did think it was amusing that leemhai thought having sex twice meant that they were dating. but if na doesn't dispute her then she's agreeing, which means they're a couple now. as for nine, she said yes to him asking her out, and she wasn't coerced or anything. so once again, that means they're a couple now. i know panic can lead to bad choices but na continues to make the worst possible decision every. single. time. there's absolutely zero justification

they really made na a cheater and tried to make it comedic 😭😭😭 and both leemhai and nine just accept it like wtf. na insists that she isn't attracted to women, then it shouldn't be that hard to say no to leemhai. i'm guessing she didn't want to lose their friendship, but now she's in danger of permanently destroying multiple relationships. the writers actually succeeded in making janjing endgame not ideal, na should end up single for there to be justice

then she drugged na, potentially poisoning her. that makes both of them a red flag, one drugs people, the other a cheater. then nine is just a weirdo obsessed with luck and fortune

whether or not leemhai dosed the brownies, it ideally should be single endgame for na. cheating is inexcusable

she's actively cheating on both leemhai and nine, but they're both just fine with it? i know it's meant to be comedic but this should honestly end with na single. she bought this on herself

Exactly, you can’t be held accountable for what you did in your past life, especially if you remembered none of it. It’s such a crappy ending for win and boon

but as a viewer and a horror fan I loved it. It had great set up earlier in the ep with boon appearing more clingy, the prolonged shot on the monk when they were praying, and I thought it was sus that jompol, a monk, would suggest burning down the house. it was also foreshadowed in an earlier ep when boon said she can never be possessed. But it’s still a great twist that most people probably didn’t expect and it fits perfectly both narratively and for a horror story

To be fair, I think kwan should be more limited when in a human body, I don’t think she can still use her powers now. Assuming win isn’t killed, she can just wait for an opening and run for it, kwan wouldn’t be able to find her unless she leaves boon’s body. She just can never go home now or she’ll put both her parents and boon’s mom in danger
