it's 1 netflix drama per month, so when the art of sarah was announced for february it became clear that this would be released in march at the earliest

i watched it too, i'm still not sure how i feel about it. it's undoubtedly an excellently produced drama and all the actors did an amazing job, i just don't know how to relate to their relationship. not just as a dude but as someone who doesn't really understand how to navigate friendships in general. i just felt like an outsider awkwardly watching in the corner 😪 makes me wonder if that was even a little bit intentional from the writer/durector

the upcoming thai drama love's echoes will have one of the leads slowly lose her hearing

i don't think it's confirmed but the way thongfah portrayed jane definitely seems like she is on the spectrum

imply what? na literally slept with leemhai TWICE. it doesn't have to end with them in a relationship for it to be considered a gl, yall gotta stop changing the goalpost for what is and isn't queerbait. by the end it's clear that na is bi and it even hints that after 6 months she's ready for a committed relationship with leemhai

the bi issue i mentioned: whenever lin talks about kate cheating, she always says "she cheated on me with a man" as if it would've been better if she had cheated with a woman

jane's mom hid lin's letters for 8 years but i guess that's not a problem at all for jane? 🤷🏻‍♂️

those were the issues i could remember, it was honestly a pretty forgettable drama overall. i didn't read the novel so idk what the differences were

i think it's a thing with thailand in general, idk about BLs but having watched 30+ GLs it feels like they like to pretend bi people don't exist. my safe zone was the most recent and most obvious example. i won't provide spoilers but it was kinda egregious, one of multiple issues i had with the writing in my safe zone

i think dokrak said her age once and it was 19/20. pam is a grad student so should be a few years older. from the way pam addresses nene, she should be older than pam but younger than kawi

idk any actors' actual heights but based on my naked eye i think they're the gl couple with the biggest height difference, icememi a close 2nd

my personal opinion: one of if not the best writing i had seen in any kdramas in 2024. Hopefully season 2 can keep that level without nam ji-hyun

i think she'll learn her lesson when leemhai leaves her, but that's not true growth if that's what it takes for her to learn
