I'm not sure why it is so important to have romance in this show when it has largely succeeded without it. What would romance add to the mix? Nothing as far as I can tell. Romance would only disrupt any sense of urgency that's so much of the show's DNA.
A common agenda is what brings everyone to the table.

Am i the only one who actually likes the action packed episodes recently? I mean the show set its premise quite…
Although Vincenzo was an entertaining romp, ultimately the writing of the villains was not on par with everything else. This is a problem not just with Vincenzo but a lot of other K dramas with one main villain who is usually a wealthy psychopathic CEO or corrupt official/bureaucrat. The cat and mouse game there was reduced to kill or be killed which gets old after a while.

Taxi Driver gets around that problem with the use of multiple villains. The variety allows for multiple strategies. I don't think Taxi Driver can be accused of resorting to fillers. I don't agree with that. It's one of those rare dramas that does a decent job of incorporating a bigger story with the case of the week format. As a child of the 80s, I embrace the 80s vibe unabashedly.

I also enjoy the John Wick films especially for the world building.

Am I just oblivious or am I the only one who can’t see any romantic love line in this show at all? Maybe I’m…
I don't see it either. I don't think there's any intention of the sort.

How is this show that bad I have seen worse shows.
Much worse including some popular dramas that I won't name.

The concept is interesting but I would have preferred if it was more philosophical in terms of death or doom.…
That's one of many problems I have with this show. I don't feel that the philosophical aspirations of the show really mean much beyond window dressing.

Every character in that show is on some kind of journey so there's nothing wrong with people changing their minds…
Don't you think they were compelled to in having to deal with Baek Sung-mi? They were obviously under-resource and didn't have the capacity to overcome her on their own. Director Jang obviously underestimated the threat she posed. It's a change of mind borne out of necessity due to circumstances.

To say that it's like changing his mind about food tastes seems to me reductionist.

Although it was satisfying to see Sung Mi's ass getting kicked and arrested but we cannot ignore the obvious chaos…
Every character in that show is on some kind of journey so there's nothing wrong with people changing their minds at the end of it. Do-ki is making a concession not because he finally thinks the system works but because there is an individual within the system that now understands what his mission is and is willing to cooperate. She changed first after what happened to Wang Min-ho and then became more sympathetic to the aims of the Rainbow taxi crew. She offered an olive branch and let him go so he could save his colleagues. Individuals can make that difference, not the bureaucratic structure.

I'm not convinced that the change of writers is what's behind the so-called "difference" in tone and direction of the last 4 episodes. The person who is in charge of the show is still the PD, who makes every decision from the way things are shot and to the final product. It was his choice to change writers to fit his vision of the outcomes. The PD most likely already had that Baek Sung-mi arc in mind from the start especially when it was clear Director Jang's dubious collaboration with her, riddled with questionable ethical issues, would come to bite him in the back. The foundations for this final confrontation were laid down from Day 1.

The point of Episodes 11-14 is that the team got complacent and underestimated the threat that Baek Sung-mi posed. to the team. She's a much bigger fish they had to fry. That's why Do-ki had to cooperate with the cops because taking down Baek Sung-mi with her minions was too much for them. That was always the goal. It's obvious that the show is nervous about being seen to support vigilantism holus bolus. This is its "out"... the compromise. I don't necessarily agree that the show had to go down this route because no one's going to start their own vigilante gang tomorrow. Besides the Rainbow taxi group did a lot of good for a lot of people who fell through the cracks.

With Episode 8, the show seems to have found its groove. Now that the crazy mutations have come to a standstill and the dust is clearing somewhat, I think the show's bigger themes are coming to the fore. It's taken too long to get to this point, to be frank but I'm a sci-fi fan from way back and I've hung on because of the show's fascinating premise of possible extraterrestrial life holding humans hostage by using their deepest fears. The mutants/zombies were something of a distraction. Of course they were illustrative of something quite sinister... or more sinister... at work. The inclusion of a fanatical death cult into the mix is telling. It is all about control in the midst of the chaos but the unseen figure toys with the human conscience furthering its grip on the select few that have survived the carnage.

Now can we get more Lee Joon-hyuk please?

Not gonna lie this is probably the worse OCN drama I’ve watch but with that being said I’m loving it
Neighbourhood Hero is the worst OCN drama I've ever watched. This is okay. I probably like it more than Times.

I'm still liking this show but I think the last episodes were pretty slow compared to the others. I have the feeling…
For a K drama, I think Taxi Driver does better than most with the villains. At least it has multiple villains with varying propensities.
Frankly speaking I find that most K-drama villains to be pretty cliched and one-note including the ones in some really popular dramas. No names mentioned. Most of them aren't even really worthy of any kind of cat and mouse game. They use their wealth, they have minions and they kill. That's about it.

I wish the execution was better because I really like what the show is trying to say about belief, evil and tyranny. It gives me classic Who and Star Trek vibes. I also like the Lord of the Flies thing that's going on. The potential is there but boy does it move at snail's pace.

I didn't find the ending that rushed. The romance was never the main thing anyway, only the means to an end.

Why did the rating dropped fairly drastically within last few hours? Is one of the best Cdramas overall.
It is weird. But MDL has these funky moments where the ratings go haywire.

Although I'm not ready to say goodbye to this fantastic project, I'll just say that this is easily the best written (and probably the best produced) C drama that I've seen this year. From beginning to end, the quality never lets up. This drama also features one of my favourite types of pairings consisting of leads with their heads screwed on right, with complementary skills sets, working together for the greater good. Whether or not the romance was ever necessary, the show answers the question unequivocally in the nerve-wrecking final act. For me I'm super fond of both although the show carefully kept the main thing the main thing. As a long time, some times jaded crime buff, I have nothing but praise for the way the individual cases figure into the larger conspiracy. It's brilliant. A lot of thought and research went into the writing of the mysteries. The amount of detail is remarkable.

Anyway nerds rule. I'll never forget the scene in which Chu Chu was learning to be a maid. She didn't know how to bow properly and cricked her neck. She used her knowledge of human anatomy to tell him what's gone wrong. He used his knowledge of anatomy to instruct her in the finer points of bowing. That humorous scene summed up the entirety of their dynamic for me. The nerd coroner had found someone who spoke her language and the prince had found his "other half".

Great show, wonderful cast. Highly recommended.

How about maiden holmes?
The reason why I didn't mention Miss S is because I watched it entirely raw. I don't' know if subs are available now. But I did enjoy it even if it's a bit unrealistic. More so than Phryne Fischer. The chemistry between the leads was pretty good. It's the first time I really like Vengo Gao.

I like the chemistry between the main lead couple, 2nd lead couple & the prince older brother. But the FL brother…
Fortunately for us Chu He is the exception rather than the rule.
I don't mind that he has feelings for Chu Chu but he is evidently incapable of keeping it under wraps and he's part of the reason why Jinyu caught on so quickly.
But in the scheme of things, he's a hiccup and largely irrelevant.
