“Hal-abeoji” is my favorite KDrama “Chairman” , also he is old school and hangs up the phone without announcing lol.
He quietly handles business from the background, and is 5 steps ahead off everyone, maneuvering people like chess pieces.

Actor playing male lead isn’t cutout to play lead roles, plus the way the lead role is written and his goofy wardrobe I don’t buy him as psychiatrist or a leading man.

I guess this show decided to save money on wardrobe, or hopefully they will upgrade ML’s wardrobe if he takes on more status. Anyway the crappy wardrobe is distracting.

Kim Soo Mi!! She’s the funniest Korean actor bar none.

I guess the writers are going to make sure the leads earn their relationship, I’ve never seen this many antagonists against the lead couples relationship.

The script would have been perfect as a weekend drama with 50 1hr episodes or cut down to 102 episodes, or at very least not put the lead’s romance on the back burner after episode 80.

There are dailies that are not stretched thin so to speak, like Unasked Family, Once Again, Be My Dream Family, so it’s possible to flesh out a long script.

I see, because I live in Houston, London, Lagos and Budapest, my iPad and Apple TV are my travel companions so I’m not choosy about how get my Kfix.

In “Unasked Family, Golden Pouch, Sunny Again Tomorrow “ to name a few FL had a backbone but was likeable

At episode 6 of rewatch and I see why I ranked this so low, female lead is 25 worked hard her whole life but never matured??? Her characterization was bipolar or should I say schizophrenic.
Also the last few episodes were full of exposition.
But the lead actress was beautifully endearing.

Beautiful talented actress, but she picks bad projects/scripts.

I guess this will be another frustrating drama with stupid near misses.
Biggest problem with long dramas with thin storylines is every storyline has to be artificially stretched out.

I suspect the screenwriter, director and a few of the lead actors decided to come together and end their careers. The male lead actor for sure must have been in some sort of scandal or the lead actress sucks at selecting projects at least.
And toxic parent of the century goes to 🥁 “Hong Baek Hee” my new favorite bad guy, she even has 5 goons working for her. SML is really clueless and willfully ignorant going to mom for help, he doesn’t deserve FL.
Clueless chairman award goes to 🥁”Choi Jin Bok”, plus I’m fuzzy on what the company actually does..
The true stars of this drama are the secretaries, and the chairman’s cook/house-lady.

I’m rewatching this and I now know why I didn’t give the show high marks, the ML is written as a self absorbed, emotional and clueless.
But the writer gets high marks for portraying the devolution of the SFL to an antagonist one of better written arcs I’ve seen.

Actually I thought ML was the passenger not the driver, he was wrong not to call ambulance after the fact though.

“A Knife in the Back” implies intent and premeditation, none of which is present in this situation. Also SML’s motivation could be called into question since he knew about the operation.
