This was better after a rewatch, also music was surprisingly great. FL dealing with trauma of growing up in village where everyone made fun of her family for having only daughters. FL doesn't recognize her childhood friend, ML does and impersonates rented boyfriend (not really rent, FL's med school prof was to loan her his nephew). FL still faces criticism from extended family even though she is a medical resident. ML stood up for FL at family celebration.
It was sweet watching them build a relationship, but the show managed to tackle some serious topics, like male children preference, the loneliness of working towards success, leftover women, women that marry early and fell like they missed out, etc....
